We've not stayed at FW before although we've been to the fort for HDDR and it was a blast! Our next trip we're planning to be at the fort for almost 3 weeks, I know Goofy Gary will need to see some news or something during that time. I can't expect him to go cold turkey. I think we are staying in 1700 and wonder if there is cable TV? Is it included in the standard reservation or something that's an "add-on"?

TIA!!

Every site has cable TV!!

Make sure your bring at least 50 feet of coax. In some loops it's way at the back of the site.

The internet is an "add-on" at $9.95 per day. You have to go up front and check out a cable modem.

If this is your first time at the Fort, you may not have time to watch TV!!! If I were you, I wouldn't even hook it up

Oh Paul, I hear you! This will be our 7th trip to WDW and our first to FW but all the times before have been with children or grandchildren in tow. This trip is for the older folks! Can you believe that! My parents are coming with us so we're from 50 something to 70 something. Our plan is not to run ourselves to pieces but to get to relax and use the fort a little more than we normally would. That's the "plan" mind you and always subject to change. lol!! :thumbsup2

I'm glad to know that every site has CATV. Sure to be heavy on the Disney/ABC/ESPN/resort channels and propaganda. I have a ressie for Thanksgiving week so I plan on watching aLOT of football that weekend while eating turkey! :happytv:

We were at the fort memorial day weekend and I didnt realize we had cable until 2 days into our trip. I was wondering how everyone had such great reception on thier TVs but we couldnt get one decent channel. Then I found the hookup while cleaning a pot out back by the electric hook up. We watched a little each night before bed, but most of it was Disney propaganda. They did show some older Disney classics which was nice.

It also came in handy druing the storms we had that weekend. Kept up to date on the path and intensity of the storms.

Slighty OT....

I don't know if Disney has any new propaganda programming this year, but the dark haired girl that has been on there for a few years is annoying at best. Now, the girls that does the en espanol version is muy caliente. My wife asked "why are you watching the Spanish version".:cool2:

She is still there but they have updated the program. More boring than it was. I miss the old one that was like Samantha Brown.

Thanks to all for the replies about CATV at the fort. Goofy Gary says we already carry a 50' cable. So I guess we're ready in that department (like we'll be watchin' much TV anyway!). But we come prepared just in case.
