Do i need to book a hotel to go to Cable beach?

Do you recommend cable beach?

I will be on DCL Dec. 8-11 with my husband and 3 daughter, 18, 11, 8.

Where is there a good beach to take them and not that expensive?

First cruise and i need lots of info to where to go and what to do??

All information welcomed!!!

We stayed at Wyndham Cable Beach for ten days this past March/April for our spring break. You do not need to have a hotel reservation to use the beach. However I would recommend the Blue Lagoon beach excursion instead.

While the Cable beach is free, the beach is not all that great. You must stay on the Wyndham side of the beach as the Radisson side is patrolled by secruity requesting confirmation of being a Radisson guest. The Wyndham pool is VERY cold, though the kids do enjoy the small water slide. The food and drinks are incredibly pricey - if you are hungry go over to the Radisson it is much cheaper and the food is much better.

The Blue Lagoon excursion can be booked through DCL or you can do it independently. The water there is pristine and they have food/drink booths available. It is definately worth the extra $.
I have also heard of people going to Paradise Island public beach though I do not have any information on doing it.
