Cable Beach.....anyone?

I just did a search to see if anyone had posted anything about Cable Beach in Nassau but all I got was others asking the same thing. Has anyone gone to Cable Beach for the day? Any info would be appreciated.

I would also like any info on Cable Beach--particularly the best way to get there, and any experiences with the golf course there.

I was there last year on a vacation at one of the resorts there.

I have seen things about just walking through a hotel lobby to a beach. I don't know which hotel you can actually do this at, but most of the all inclusive resorts have you wear a wrist band and the beach is for resort guests only. There may be a place I don't know about though.

I saw the golf course and it looked okay, although I did not play it, so take that with a grain of salt.

Sorry for such little information. But at least it's a bump.

I just posted info a few threads back. Don't want to be redundent but will add one additional item. We walked through one of the bigger hotels right through the casino and out to the beach. We wondered around several of the pool decks and beaches and we're never questioned or felt at all uncomfortable. Getting dropped off in the stretch limo might have helped ;-)
