I have reservations for a full hook up site for my RV. The rest of my family has reservations for a cabin. I have the reservations linked via Disney. However, I do not see any full hookup sites near cabins (from what I can tell the full hook up sites are in the 1600-2000 loop area). Will I need to upgrade to preferred or premium to be close to the cabins?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

A lot depends on when your trip is.

The 1100 Loop backs up to the cabins on the 2100 Loop. Loop 1100 is slated to be upgraded to premium. However, this Loop was supposed to be done sometime last year and has not been worked on yet. (Cable has been added). We're not even sure whether folks are having to pay for preferred to get this loop or if it is still full.

If your trip is in the next few weeks, then you may be OK with a full hookup and requesting 1100 and 2100. However, if your trip is several months away, then I would upgrade to Premium and request 1100 and 2100.

It depends on when you are going and when they get around to upgrading loop 1100. Historically, 1100 is a Full hookup loop, but Disney could be booking it as Preferred since it now has cable. The conversion of 1100 to Premium has been skipped in the schedule, so there is no telling when (or if?) it will happen. But, for an RV (assuming you don't mean a pop-up or camper van) the only option to be close to the cabins is to be in 1100 and 2100. You might call CRO and ask what kind of site you'd need to book in order to request 1100 at the time of your trip, maybe they know the schedule.

Thanks, the dates we are going are May 18th until the 25th. We have a 30' coachman Mirada class A. we'll have a 2.5 yr old and a 4.5yr old with us.
Any other info would be much appreciated.

Just got off the phone with reservations, they said the 1100 loop will now be considered a premium loop. They did say some are showing up as full hookup and some as premium and that they are in the process of conversion. Not sure how long full conversion will take so I guess I'll take my chances on Full hookup and request the 1100 loop and see what happens. Buy the way, she said the only full hookup loops are 1600-1900. I had to go through 4 different agents to find this out, each saying they didn't have such information. What a PITA.

I've started a post that I plan to update as soon as I hear a Loop has been started on or completed.

Here is the link. Watch that thread and you will know as soon as someone in this group knows when construction starts/completes on any specific loop. (There is usually someone here from this group at any given time.)

Well, CRO is very confused it seems. I'm going to pick apart this post and see if we can get any straight-talk out of CRO:

the 1100 loop will now be considered a premium loop

1100 will eventually be considered a Premium loop, but the pad expansion has not begun yet, so definitionally now it must be either a Full (as always) or Preferred (since it now has cable).

some are showing up as full hookup and some as premium

Wrong! Loops do not contain a mix of site designations (except for 100 which mixes a couple of cabins in with Preferred camp sites). Perhaps some dates are showing Full and other dates are Premium.

and that they are in the process of conversion

Wrong! The only site currently being converted is 1400. There is no work currently underway in 1100.

Not sure how long full conversion will take so I guess I'll take my chances on Full hookup and request the 1100 loop and see what happens

The conversion itself should only take 2-3 weeks, the big question is when will they start. My best guess is that 1400 will take 4-6 weeks (it's much larger) and that will be followed by 700, 900, and 1000. So it is quite possible that you will be there before the conversion begins on 1100. I would recommend upgrading your reservation to Preferred, however, and request the 1100 loop. You will pay $5 more per night, but I suspect that you will have a better chance of getting 1100, since, as I said above, 1100 already meets the definition of a preferred they may at anytime decide not to put Full reservations there anymore, as attested to by:

she said the only full hookup loops are 1600-1900

There is no reason to change to Premium until/unless the conversion is completed before your trip (i.e. it is the next loop to be done after the current work on 1400).

I hope this helps, I know all of this ambiguity is frustrating to deal with.

So far I am not impressed with CRO. Three different calls to them gave me three different people all of which told me they are not privy to which loop contains which type of site all they could do is book me for what type of site I wanted. I wound up calling Fort Wilderness and got some nice older lady, she looked on her computer and the info was not available to her either. She put me on hold to go ask the front check in desk, they returned with the answer that they were too busy to answer peoples questions and that it was the job of CRO to do this. Another call to CRO finally found me with a person who could at least give me somewhat of an answer.
I really don't see the point of CRO, just put the sites on-line like reserve americal does and let me choose what I want. I think they really fall short when it comes to the fort.

I Hope to be there May 22-30th and we found the same thing. They told us that 1600-1900 did not have cable installed and that 100-300 are the only prefered loops in FW. I don't understand thier system either unless they have a lot of people who are allready there and want to extend thier stay. Disney doesn't want to make them move just because the site is reserved to someone else tomorrow. So they just bump you as you come in the gate.
Just My Guess:confused3
