Hi everyone
I was wondering how these cabins are, I was thinking maybe that I might get a cabin for my DH, DS, mom and dad and me, I didn't know if they feel roomy or if we would feel cramped??? Any comments would be great...
Thanks:thumbsup2

Maybe as far as the bathrooms go. Also, your parents would probably be sleeping on the Murphy bed and it's kind of uncomfortable.

We loved them and they are quite roomy. I'd go into a lot more detail but you will find everything that you need over on the camping forum. Several long threads and advice over there.

I stayed in the cabins with my son (then 2, so free in a PNP), my sister, BIL and 2 nephews during a hurricane evacuation in 2004. [Best Disney vacation EVER! and way more fun than riding out a hurricane! ] I slept on the Murphy bed and thought it was perfectly comfortable. We liked having the full kitchen and prepared breakfast there every morning. The only drawback is the one bathroom, but we arranged it so the kids did baths at night and the adults in the mornings. There is an extra sink in the bedroom, if I remember correctly, so that was available for brushing teeth, washing hands, etc. Plus the kitchen sink, as well. Fort Wilderness has it's own character - very calm and serene and family-friendly. You're not sharing walls with neighbors, so it's very quiet. We had no problems with the buses and liked the boat launcy to Magic Kingdom.

I've stayed in the cabins twice and LOVED them! I agree that the bathrooms are a little small but aren't most hotel rooms? I think overall the cabins are very spacious and I love the deck, full kitchen, and separate bedroom. I slept on both the bed and the murphy bed and felt they were fine.

They are great and I highly recommend them! Enjoy!

I stayed in the cabins for our first visit to WDW with our family of 5. (me20, brother17, sister24, and mom and dad) We thought they were great, the girls stayed in the room and brother and dad in the living room. If you look for all the posts about cabins, I've said something good about them in all the posts, lol. There great, and I would go back! :)

Check out the cabin thread(s) on the Disney Camping fourm and the review on allearsnet.com on the cabins....all are very informative and very positive.

I can't remember the name of the publication but Fort Wilderness will be renovated soon and I think I heard in spring 2009. We have decided to stay in the cabins but we want to go in April or May of 09 and I am worried that we will be there when the renovations are going on...esp the pool. There's more info on this on the camping site as well.

We love the cabins and are staying there again in Sept. From what I understand they just got new furniture, art work and carpets. AllEars has some new pictures.
