Idk how I feel about DTF being at Disney Springs to be honest. I've had it a few times in OC and in Vegas. Kind of wish something more unique was there. DTF is always popular regardless of where it opens up and IDK if it needed to be in Downtown Disney but /shrug I hope I'm wrong about this.I think the more exciting DVC news today is Din Tai Fung opened. It's basically a VDH Micheline starred (in other locales) restaurant.

Agree. We were thinking about it, but the dues + resale restrictions have stopped us. I think they look lovely and they would work great for our family of three, but as lowly resale owners, we’re not likely to get there anytime soon.The dues are literally what keep us from buying there. I feel like there was already a small enough pool of potential buyers, then the super-high dues were announced and it reduced the potential buyer pool even more.

Opening line is Vero Beach + $10.Dues will always be high but may be closer to other resorts in a few years. Riviera seemed high when it opened but other resorts have caught up or passed Riv dues.
I'm really curious where resale settles here with dues, restrictions, overallow demand.
Resale CFW.. I'm going to say ends up going for under 50 per point in the next 7 years (probably faster)
Resale RIV at least has multiple room types, better location, skyliner, amenities, restaurants and a lot of people do actually like the resort and it's already sitting at 100-115 on the resale market.
CFW has none of that with much higher dues.. I'm pretty certain it'll become the first "worthless" DVC contract on WDW property.

I agree with this. It’ll probably happen sooner than most think, maybe even in the next 10 years. It’ll be interesting to see if WDW offers a free deedback program for fully paid off CFW or if they will keep emulating timeshare systems like Westgate (resale restrictions) and charge for the privilege of taking a contract back.CFW has none of that with much higher dues.. Just doesn’t seem to make much sense since they could have put that wall that separates the bedroom from living space virtually anywhereDues, bunk beds in master, seeing the next door neighbors out our kitchen and front windows, not a deluxe resort... other than that, it’s great!
I believe it's because the units are modular and are built offsite then assembled onsite. It puts different building constraints/stressors on the structure. Even if they had only slept 4, I’d rather have the extra space and just the murphy pull down out there in the living room. Maybe put a 5th sleeper pull down somewhere. With the bunkbed removed probably could’ve fit a stackable washer/dryer closer to the bathroom. Instead of having the murphy face the wall, couldve had it face the kitchen and built a small separating wall to mount the TV. where it makes a little more sense. I also don’t understand how you build a bunkbed tailored for small kids and then not have a bathtub as well. The layout and choices just don’t make sense.
Agree - I think there are lots of ways this could be appealing. Put all the kids in the bedroom and the parents take the murphy bed - and then can stay up later if putting kids to bed early... for example. Or if you have kids that won't sleep in their own room on vacation anyway (because it's a little scary to them), then at least everyone gets a bed.Lots and lots of families go to Disney and stay in one hotel room, and given how popular studios are within DVC, I’d say owners too.
Now, it’s definitely a unique product and not for everyone…but given the lack of incentives in relation to poor sales, there must be a long term plan for this project.
