To anyone who has already stayed at a cabin....

Was the cabin worth the points and would you stay again or was it a one time thing?

Based on your experience, do you think it will end up being a drag on CCVs value per point due to all he points sold against the cabins or do you think based on your experience it will be in higher demand than the Poly bungalows?

It seems they are selling well, but wondering if people will just do it once to check the box or if the value proposition will make it worth it for repeat visits

Thx

My husband and I stayed for two nights after a cruise last year. We liked it so much we are returning for an eight night stay at the end of this year. We felt it was worth the points and was a relaxing stay for the two of us. You can't beat having your own hot tub on a screened in porch looking over the canal and watching fireworks.

I don't think experience will have much to do with drag or no drag. I think average contract size being sold at CCV suggests they'll be a drag.

We like them enough that we bought and will be staying there every couple of years. IMO the point issue may be a problem for people wanting to stay at the lodge.

I have not stayed at one yet, but just by the look/style of them and the points, I think it would be a better value than the Poly bungalows! I'd like to try one out sometime soon!

Loved our two night stay in November. Couldn't swing the points for a Spring visit but would do it again if I had the points. Worth every point, they are stunning. Poly bungalow doesn't appeal to me.

Cabins are nice, as we took a tour of them in May. Just not worth the points.. Too rich for my blood.... And, you can sleep just as many in a 2BR
at CCV than a cabin for LESS points... Go figure......

We've stayed in both the bungalows (twice) and the Cabins (Once). We love the Cabins and will definitely be staying there again. Over the years, we have increased our points and now have enough to be able to "splurge" on a vacation every once in a while.

We stayed in one as we had extra points that were going to expire. We loved it and would absolutely stay again in one if we could afford it. But we are in a constant borrow mode with our points so it may never happen again.

As a previous poster said, sitting in the private hot tub watching the fireworks was great!

Screened patio with hot tub 1000x >>>> than open deck with plunge pool :) If the views could be swapped life would be perfect haha!

The cabins are beautiful!! We added on at CCV before touring. Kids loved it and we contemplated more points - but didn't - yet :)

We toured them and DH liked them enough that he agreed to us buying new direct points at CCV. He would never ever even entertain the idea of buying when each of the past resorts were selling new (from SSR to now as we became aware of DVC when SSR was selling new).

We stayed in a cabin in May, and can't wait to return. We had to bank and borrow our CCV points, but yes, we thought it was worth it. We probably won't always splurge for this, but we'll definitely do it again in the next couple of years.

We had a two night stay last year and a one night stay this year. We have borrowed most of our 2019 points for a GV in Aulani or I would have booked one for our two couple stay in December this year. One was available at 7 months out, but I did not have the points for the 4 night stay.

Someone mentioned the hot tub. What a wonderful addition to the villa experience!

Hi Bobbi by the hot tube! That looks like cabin 8002 or 8003? Am I close?

We think it was 8005? We were in 8006 last year. I thought I had saved the number, but I do not see it.

I would love to perhaps stay in the near future, however my question for those who have stayed, in the bedrooms, the pull down bed could an adult sleep on it? I ask as the group we have are all adults. Thank you most sincerely.

It’s like the pull down beds in the other villas, like the Poly for instance. It depends on the adult. We had someone on sofa bed, and then someone used the chair, those were good for adults.
