Cabins 2646 & 2648

We have 2642 and 2644 and we were wondering the same thing because I read somewhere that all these cabins are noisy. Anyone out here know if it is true?
Thanks

Does anyone know if these really are noisy cabins??? I would really like to know so that I can try to change them.

I have the exact same two cabins reservced for this xmas. I have not found anyone who had stayed in those precise rooms, but around them. The word was not as bad as passporter seemed to make out.

I decided to not change.

I would LOVE your feedback after the cruise, though.

jgalecpa,

You will be in the two cabins beofre I will...we are not cruising until 5/1/2004. I hope you will let me know how they are when you return. Have a great Christman cruise

Lisa,

You are on.

We have two adults and two DD's (12 & 15).

we are technically listed as one adult & one child in each room.

How we actually sleep is another matter. We love adjoining rooms, especially with girls, as you double bathrooms, sinks, closets, etc.

I infer you have both rooms. Two families or what?

Jim

Jim,

One family 6 kids!!!!!!!! My husabnd, myself, step kids DSS 12, DSD 10, our kids DD 7, DD5, DD2, DS 10mo. We NEED the extra room & bathrooms etc...We usually do two room at the Wilderness Lodge every year but I just can't face lugging all the kids around the park for a week again. The cruise will be a nice change!!

We stayed in those rooms! They worked out great for us... it's true though, that they are pretty noisy, but after 2 days, u'll be used to it.

We stayed in room 2644 and had friends in 2650 on 11-22-03 cruise. I had no problems with this area. The only time that I found them noisey was with the usual docking/arriving into port noises, which are usually in the morning times that you are up or at least getting up. During the daytime/evenings/nights I found it no more noisey that anywhere else on the 2nd floor. I had read about the areas on the 2nd floor that were noisey and was worried but I found this room to be just the expected noise with docking and not more than that. Have a Great time!!!!!

we were in 2135 & 2137 this past summer. These are port, whereas you guys are all starboard but similarly placed on the ship. Also, we were inside cabins, whereas you're ocean view, but we had NO problems with noise. Very small amount of noise in AM with docking & my kids never heard a sound, never stirred a bit. ;) I would have no hesitation booking the rooms we had again. We loved the location, except when going to Walt Disney Theater. Otherwise, great for everything else.

I am wondering though, whats the empty square shown between 2632 & 2638? Obviously it would be rooms 2634 & 2636 but my book just shows a gray square & nothing listed. Is it storage space of some sort, that may have some noise associated with it?

I have been WAITING for the day to get to report on MY room!! :D We stayed in 2646, and it was awesome!! I read it was a noisey room and was nervous, but after the first night I told my hubby- if this is as noisey as it gets- that's nothing! Okay- it's a little motor-y when you come to ports in the am's but we thought it was a NEAT wake up call- it was funny- everytime we heard the motor's shifting around a little we were all jumping up to look out that awesome window to see what the day has in store for us! I really didn't think they were loud. I admit- out first night when we left port- they had those motors CRANKED up because it was quite rough seas- it was raining like MAD when we left Port Canaveral and stayed raining and pretty rough til after we went to bed, so yes, the first night was "loud"-per say, but certainly not BAD- as I thought it would be. But after hearing the motor the second night- we just wrote ot off as they had to crank it up like that to get thru the rough seas. This was in Oct '02 by the way. I would not hesitate one bit to stay in this room again! Have fun and enjoy! Don't be nervous about this room at all! Again- we thought it was pretty neat -WE knew when we came to a port and friends of ours stayed at the complete other end of the ship and they said they had no idea when we docked at a port because they couldn't tell and wished they could so they could watch out the window too.

On our last cruise, we had rooms 2644, 2646, and 2648 for my family. We found them all to be very noisy and we especially noticed that the kids had a really hard time sleeping.

I even had a hard time sleeping! We were very unhappy because we were moved to the rooms upon checkin and were supposed to be more toward the middle of the ship.

If you tend to get seasick, we also thought it seemed to be really rough in that area of the ship, which may be a concern for you.

I don't want to alarm you - it sounds like some people had pleasant experiences there, but we did not.

If you are the type of person that will be bothered by noise or a lot of movement, I would definitely try for another set of rooms.

Good luck!
