Cabin ?'s

This is our 1st trip!! I have always wanted to go to WDW but never made it till now. Our daughter is 7 so most of our ADR's are planned around her. Let's see-I have Askerus, CRT, Crystal Palace, Tusker House, Hollywood & Vine, 1900 Park Fare, & T-Rex.

For me & the hubby I went with Biergarden, Wispering Canyon, & Hoop De Doo & Mama Melrose Fantasmic Package. I would love to have O'Hana's-I actually had an ADR for a dinner show early on but cancelled it bc I couldn't fit it in anywhere. Also my daughter is not a Lilo & Stitch fan. There's always next time I guess. She is such a picky eater!!!

Speaking of ADR's, do you absolutely need one for Trails End? We are arriving in the evening on 12/9 & I didn't make one bc i'm not sure what time??

I know if i ever go again, I will gear the ADR's more toward my & Hubby's tastes, but I thought this was better for my daughter.

Thanks & i hope you get what you're looking for!!

Angie, wow, you do have a lot of ADRs. I'm sure that your daughter will enjoy them. You & your hubby will enjoy watching her fun! When my DDs were younger, I planned many ADRs to ensure that they were able to see their favorite Princess & other characters. We will be staying in the cabins this Christmas & I haven't made a single ADR, we plan to bring the crockpot & throw something in before leaving in the morning. We have a few favorite QS that we love to eat--my favorite is mini corn dogs @ Casey's in MK. I love to get those with hot cheese & wait for the parade! Yummy! My DD14 loves to still go to the Chip & Dale Sing a long. You can buy smore fixings there or take your own. I like to take a hot dog or two & roast those to watch during the movie.
My family actually prefers to get a buffet to go or chicken to go dinner from Trail's End & take back to the cabins. We can put our pj's on & watch a movie. Hey don't forget to ride your golf cart back to the beach area to watch the EWP. My DD 14 & DD 19 still love to do that.

Have fun & time take to enjoy the little things @ FW. When my girls were little, they loved to ride the little horses Tonka & Snickers. I'm not sure if this is still available as my girls are too big for the little horses now.

I went with the Deluxe Dining Plan. I know I can hear the "Why would you do that????" right now. I absolutely hate to cook. I do it every night and just hate it. All we have is chain restaurants around here, like steakhouses, Mexican, and Pizza so I wanted a variety and not just fast food type of stuff. We are also not taking breaks during most days so I planned a lot of lunches so we could just sit and relax & enjoy our food & take a break that way. We also eat three squares a day so eating on the fly in the am just would not cut it. We are not pigs, but waffles or cereal & some eggs & fruit is the norm for us. I know I could do that in the cabin but that requires cooking--:headache: I think for us the food will be part of the vacation too. Its our first trip so I really do not know better i guess.

My hubby is a get up & get moving type of person-he does not like to sit around when there are things to do so we are used to that routine. I had to plan everything so I could make sure we can see what type of things are important to us. If we ever go back, I am sure I would do things differently. I just know when it's time to eat, there will be no arguing about who wants to eat where, blah, blah!!

This is why I have 2 days @ Epcot & MK. So we can take our time, see what we want to, and then still enjoy the Fort. The cabins are more of a comfort thing for us. Like I posted earlier, we are not hotel fans!! I did not tell her what meals I had planned so she will be surprised!!! I can't wait to see her face!!!! I will be crying the whole vacation!!!

Thanks everyone!!! I really do appreciate all your advise & opinions.

You are going to love the Crock Pot, we have always done that every year we go to the cabins. We get even the frozen meatballs they have from Garden Grocer along with all the other groceries I had purchased and they the meatball hoggies are so good, especially with a slice of cheese in it. ENJOY!!!:woohoo:
