Cabin Pretrip Report...We are back!!!

I so love the cabins. Would love to go cheaper but can't bring ourselves to stay anywhere else. Just love the Fort! Have an awesome time.

This year I decided to "do" Disney a little different. Gone is the hard cover note book with countless menu's and gone is the touring guide.This will be Ds's 4th trip. We are winging it....well, as much a I can "wing" things. I am a complusive planner.

Here are the pins that we ordered on E-Bay. Dh say's it was abut $14 for this set. These are a surprise for DS. I am hoping to get a lanyard at DTD the first day.

And this shows my "attempt" at being crafty. I am not a crafty person!!!!! One turned out and the other....well.....he lost an ear. The rest are horrible!!!!! So if you see a family in tie dyed shirts and you can't make out what the heck it is supposed to be....it is us!!!! Second thought, I might just head up to the Disney store and some respectable replacements.

It is less than 2 weeks before we go!!!! I can’t believe it is actually time to pack!!!! I love packing for Disney…..shorts, t-shrit, Shorts, t-shirt x5, flip flops, bathing suit and 2 pairs of good shoes. Done.

I have a rough plan for the parks too.
Fri-April 23-MK (4 on the crowds)
Sat. April 24-AK (4)- 5:20 reservations at Kona Cafe
Sun April 25-DS (8) 11:20 reservations at Sci Fi
Monday-?
Tuesday?

Must do’s on the family list:
Jedi Academy
Lego store
Mk at night
Splash MTN
TMRR
Fishing
The people mover (whatever it is called)
Pool at the fort
Movies at the fort.

As I said before we are keeping it simple this year. No rushing….well, I like to be at rope drop. But I have an early riser so we might as well get there early.

Now, I am just waiting for my battery operated Christmas lights for the golf cart and to prepurchase my photopass.

Your first trip??? You are going to have a great time. Did you pick up any books to help you? I use the Unofficial Guide. It really helped me aviod longgggg lines. You will love having the cabin for naps!!!

I sure did!!!!! The Unofficial Guide... I've found that between these boards and the book, I am plenty prepared .

Today we are 10 days out!!!! I am just having trouble trying to choose a specific loop to request through online check-in

If you don't have a golf cart, then ask for loop 2100. It is in walking (stroller) distance to the main pool. Also ask for a cabin near a bus stop. If you have a GC, then it really doesn't matter. Most loops are really quiet.

I love my Unofficial guide. I waste money buying a new one every year. We don't follow it exactly but we have managed to get on all of the rides that we want by 12pm!!!! Then we can hit the fort for a nap and swimming.

We are arriving April 22nd!!!!!

I was very much considering the 2100 loop. Looks like a great location since we are not renting a golf cart.

That is exactly our plan, getting most things done by noon and then heading back to the Fort.

We had the first cabin in the loop last year. At first I was bummed because I thought we would get a lot of road noise. But we didn't. And it was right across from the bus stop. Plus there is a path between the cabin loop and the camping loop that will cut your walk to the pool.

You will love the way the cabins are layed out for nappers!!! We would put DS down and still could sit our on the deck enjoying the weather. And it is quiet. DS was able to wind down from the parks easily.

We only have 4 more nights until we are at Disney.

I packed DS and I today. And then I started the “other” stuff. These are the things that make your trip fun but don’t cost as arm and a leg. Along with the previous mentioned trading pins, there are the cheap glow bracelets from the dollar store, and small surprise toys for DS. One is a Obi Won Kanobi (sp) pez dispenser . Also removable hooks for the walls, BBQ utensils, foldable laundry bin and zip ties.

I AM STILL WAITING FOR MY BATTERY OPERATED CHRISTMAS LIGHTS FOR THE GOLF CART. I hope they get here.

I pre-registered today along with faxing my loop request. I asked for Loop 100 or 2100. I know we won’t get 100 but it is fun the pretend!!!! Interesting enough, you cannot request a loop on the advance registration. You can only request a cabin near a bus stop or ask for a pack and play.

We also spent TONS OF CASH!! but very worth it My next mission is to plan another trip, FAST!

We got 2100 loop and absolutely loved the cabin and the fort, next time we need more time to explore though. Thanx for the wonderful input, we had a great time!!
