We have a trip booked for May 11-15 staying at POR and the DXDDP. Last night we started thinking about all 5 of us sharing 1 room. We have always booked 2 rooms at a value and it has always worked out great. This trip however DH wants to stay somewhere other than a value. The CM at CRO recommended a cabin at Ft Wilderness. But the full kitchen isnt really a plus for us as we already are not sure what to do with all our credits. And the cabin doesn't look as nice.

Anyone with experience with these resorts, or any other options please help us out...

(btw we might add an extra person and will have to change resorts)

The cabins at Fort Wilderness are VERY nice.

When we stayed last September I was disappointed to find out that we weren't going to be in the loop that had just been refurbished. They are redoing all the cabins, but at the time only one loop had been completed.

I was pleasantly surprised to find our cabin was like new! The appliances looked brand new and the place was spot-less, no signs of wear and tear at all!

We were on free DDP as well, but the kitchen was great to have breakfast, make coffee and store left-overs.

I highly recommend the Fort Wilderness and the cabins. There is so much to do without leaving the fort!

I also strongly recommend that you rent a gold cart, it makes all the difference in the world!!!

Oh and don't forget Trail's End for breakfast!!!
