Cabin over Buena Vista Theater - too noisy?

We will be in cabin 6608 right above the theater. Anyone have any problems being located over the theater? We have a 1 year old who is a light sleeper and are worried about the noise.

We are not sailing until May so I 'm sure it shouldn't be a problem to pick a different cabin at this point.

Thanks for any input........and please disregard my countdowns...I am having some technical difficulties!!!

We were right on top of the Walt Disney Theatre (in 5020) and never heard a thing. The only noise issues I've read about are from folks under the nightclubs.

We were in 6607 on the Wonder. You can hear the base and any explotions, things of that nature, but it is not like the entire movie is audible in your room. They were playing Tarzan in the theater when we first noticed the noise. Honestly we had no idea what it was until we could faintly hear the music (because we had our heads pressed to the walls). It was never bothersome and anytime we could hear it, it was during the day, the movies don't run too late...

We were in 5500 which is directly over the theatre. They do rehearse in the mornings, and there are some matinees as well as the regular show. We did hear a little bit of noise at these times, and it took a while to realize where it was coming from, but it was not bothersome and would not prevent a child from napping. Since you do have the buffer of a whole deck between you and the theatre, I'll bet you won't hear much, if anything, but a white noise machine would completely block it out.

DISFANSHAN is referring to the "Buena Vista Theater" (the one that plays movies) not the "Walt Disney Theater" that has the stage performances, just FYI, the noise level is different.

We too have stayed above the Buena Vista Theater and as Libertybelle stated there was noise from it during the day and into the early evening. We could clearly sing a long to the songs from the Disney movies while in the room (it was faint but we could hear it). You could hear the louder parts of the movies. Personally if you have a light sleeper I would think about a different location. You never know what movies will be showing during your trip if they are playing an action movie with a lot of louder scenes your 1 year old may have a hard time sleeping.

I was in 6610 in Oct, 2003. I would not stay in that location again. I thought the noise below was too much.

I would try to move just across the ship to the port side. If you look on the diagram, those rooms have a hallway below them.

If you have room to move and can still stay in aft, I would do it.
