Anyone had a cabin very near the midship elevators? (Deck 7 is where we are assigned) Did you have a noise issue? Thanks!

We didn't notice the noise..........but it took forever to get an elevator during busy times. I always book aft.

Thanks for the info. You & your family were on the 11/29/03 Magic weren't you?
We are doing the Wonder in January this year.

We have...noise was not a problem at all, in fact we request that same cabin for all our upcoming cruises.

We were on the 6th fl., mid-ship, right around the corner from the elevators and we never had a problem with noise. We tried to book our same room again (stayed in there twice), but it was already booked for the dates we wanted in 2004. Bummer!! :( We hardly ever took the elevators anyways, only when we were in a real hurry. We tried to walk off all of that good food by taking the stairs most of the time.

Jkovick.......yes we were as a matter of fact. 6608 was our room. Was that you guys on the Golden Eagle??

Another person here who has had a midship room right near elevators. Not a problem with noise at all. HARDLY ever take the elevators because they are too slow and are usually full.

We also always ask for our "favorite" room!

We were deck 6 near the midship elevators. No noise problems at all (I was also concerned about this). It is actually a very good location. It is convienent to everything on the ship.

GREAT location! We were in cabin 7062 in April on the Wonder and loved it - quick access to elevators and stairs and no noise. We usually took the stairs, however, as the elevators were very, very slow.

I think it's a great location. We were on deck 6 by the mid-ship elevators and rebooked for the same location. We loved it.

We were in 6550 for the 5/15 cruise & noise was no problem at all. The elevators are really bizarre, I don't think they are programed correctly or something. They move quickly, doors shut pretty quick, so I don't know why they are so difficult to get.

We were in 6067 on the May 8 and I didn't hear any noise. It wasn't an issue. It was great because when we needed to use the elevator there wasn't anyone else there. I would stay there again. It was perfect.
