I would say the same as a hotel. $2-$6 a night depending on how many people, and how good the service is. Make sure you leave it in an envelope marked "Mousekeeping". It is suggested you leave a tip daily rather than at the end of your stay because you may not have the same mousekeeper each day.

No matter where we have stayed we always leave $5 a day. I have the kids make up envelopes decorated just for the mouse keepers before we go and each morning they put one out.

Traditionally, it is $1 per person, per day. Since the cabins are large, it wouldn't hurt to throw in a little more ;)

You're suppose to tip housekeeping? Don't let my wife see this thread, she'll be wanting more money.

We just got back from the Fort today. It was an excellent trip, and the thing that made it the most magical was Mousekeeping (never saw a 'dream' in the park, except for a few fastpass things.)

We didn't tip the first day (no US cash), got towel animals.
Tipped the second day, got nothing, and sub-par service as far as cleaning.
Didn't tip third day (because of second day) , got towel animals
Decided not to tip until last day.

One of the days we even came back to find 4 Mickey balloons in the cabin. Those are 10 bucks each in the parks!:cool1:

Tipped on check out day, to cover rest of stay.

Not sure if it was cause and effect, but why risk it?

Whenever I stay in the cabins or one of the 1BR DVC units, I always tip an extra dollar or two over what I tip in a regular hotel room, as they have a larger space to clean and the kitchen to take care of. I think $5 sounds good for this type of accommodation.

Keep in mind that you don't have the same Mousekeeper every day. You will typically have one for five days and a different one for two, but if they get backed up from a lot of check outs, you may have a third one in the mix. So if you notice that you have great service, except for a couple days, or lousy service except for a couple days, this could be why. This is also why we tip every day, instead of at the end of the trip.

We left a buck a head everyday(7 heads)....but the third day was terrible....chocolate crumbs still on the table, no towels..bed was litterlly thrown together...called front desk, they appologized and said they would make a report. The next day a sweet little jamaican cutie knocked and appologized...said the day before was her day off and her replacement was new and apparently full of attitude...so for the most part, the cabins are assigned to certain mousekeepers for 5 of 7 days a week. The service was great except for the one day.
