Hi. This is our first Disney cruise. We can't wait! Just found out we are in cabin 6011. Has anyone been in there? Also, is it possible to upgrade at the port to a "room with a view"? Thanks for any and all info.

is it possible to upgrade at the port to a "room with a view"?

Considering the amount of time left until your cruise, I would say any cabin upgrade would be possible but not probable...

We had a Cat 11 GTY last week and did not know our cabin # until we checked in at the Port. After we got to our room I wanted to see if I could upgrade to a Cat 9 because I did not really like the Cat 11. Our sailing was totally sold out so I could not do it.

MJ - I learned the hard way that the best is to get your stateroom number before you put your reservation in. Hard way meaning that I had to sleep opposite of what I am used to - I like to have the bed on the right side of the room when I enter, not the left.
This past cruise I was very uncomfortable with the bed on the left side. Just felt awkward!

Yes, I know, I need to just "buy" the room out right and live there. And yes, you can come visit!

Rae - just enter through the verandah doorway and everything will be "reversed"...

Now why didn't I think of that?!

Go over to the Eastern Beach thread -

Buckaroos Dad:

Good advice to Rae!

When I was a smart alecky kid I lived near Blarney Castle in Ireland. Going up the stairs I encountered another group of people coming down the narrow, 15th century stairs.

In Her Most Proper English Accent, she asked if this was the up staircase or the down staircase, to which I immediately replied "Well, it depends which way your going." She came back with the "Cheeky Bast**d" I've heard so many times since.

I always wondered what "cheeky" meant - now I get it!!!

DUH!
Rae (not the sharpest tool in the English shed!)

Hey jgalecpa.

She came back with the "Cheeky Bast**d" I've heard so many times since.

Reminds me of an old-time movie called The Professionals. Lee Marvin, Burt Lancaster et al rescue Claudia Cardinale. Toward the end of the movie, Ms. Cardinale's screen hubby (named Mr. Grant) calls Lee Marvin a "bast*rd." Mr. Marvin replies, "For me, an unfortunate accident at birth. But you, Mr. Grant, are a self-made man."...

BD:

To paraphrase a great man:

"Some people are born cheeky, others have cheekiness thrust upon them."

Jim

And although still waters run deep, still others just turn the other cheek...
