Cabin Door Signs

I am going to attempt to do one for our trip. Thanks for all of the ideas :bounce:

I do have one question, where did you guys get the DCL logo?

Have a magical day! princess:

That is EXACTLY what I want Zandy. A job well done! Can you tell us where you found the DCL logo and all. Any hints for a computer dummy? I am very impressed with your sign!

FYI, I bought the magnetic paper at Walmart for 7.99. It was $3 cheaper there than at Office Max.

Thanks Andy, I have one more question. Where do you find the Disney font for your name? Sorry, like I said I am a computer dummy. Thanks for any help. Sandy

jiminyC_fan, thanks for the compliment, on my sign. Sorry I wasn't here to answer your questions earlier, but it looks like Verandah Man took care of you. :D

Thank you, too disneediva.

(On my sign) Do you think "from Florida" or "of Florida" sounds better? I've only printed it on regular paper so far so I might make some changes before I do it on the magnetic paper. I haven't even bought it yet. Since I have until October, I thought I'd wait to see if I could find it on sale.

My choice would be "of Florida" your sign looks very nice by the way, good job!!!

Zandy, either one sounds good to me but I am leaning more towards "of Florida". By the way, you are cruising with a few of my DISer "family"/ friends and I will be on the next cruise after you with a few more of my DISer "family"/friends. We couldn't decide between Eastern and Western cruise so we split up our "reunion". Have a MAGICal cruise! Sandy

We are cruising on RCCL Navigator later this month. This is the sign I made for our door. [notice that I just HAD to throw in a little Disney touch];)

I will do like others have mentioned here. It will be printed on letter size magnetic paper to post on our door.

GREAT sign Jody! I love it! wish I could figure out how to do it on my computer. I have a program to use, just can't figur out how to get the fonts and graophics from the internet to my program!

Great ideas!! We don't cruise until July, so this will give my dd's something to do while we are waiting!!

We are celebrating our sons highschool graduation on our cruise in June. I was thinking of making a door sign that says "Congratulations Jeremy!" with a cap and gown picture. If I attatched a pen to the sign, do you those passing by might stop and sign?

I would! We would! That's a great idea!

Just be prepared for obnoxious ....... unwanted, silly, stuff. Not saying it would happen, but it's like leaving a candy out..... it may be tempting. I'd hate to walk up and see junk written on my door. I'm the kind of person who would get hurt and it's not worth the hurt - but I just love that idea. Of course I'm half empty... my DH is half full and would tell you what a cool thing to take home and how special your son would feel and then I say......or may be really embarrassed ;)

Last year I taped up a Disney Princess party favor that I made just for the door. It is now on my daughter's bedroom door. Back then, there wasn't very many doors with signs. I did see one - a collage of postcards from their hometown......... that was cool! I LOVE to pass by cabin doors to see what everyone has on them.

My kids, my DH loved it because it was so easy to get turned around on the ship and they knew what to look for. I will probably keep it very simple.

I just bought this pinata.................... ;)

:hyper:

Haven't read the entire thread but if someone doesn't want to go through all that trouble you can buy a signature poster like what is used at birthday parties, etc. My mom and her friends did this on their last cruise and at first nobody wrote on it, but after they wrote a couple of notes they noticed others started writing on it as well. You can buy little magnet strips and stick them on the back.
