Cabin Door Signs

Also, Xyron machines have magnetic refills if you wanted to make some smaller magnets (the Mickey paint chips or even photos) We do this w/ our DDs all the time for "Fridge Fun"!

OK, I figured out how to open an account, but now I'm having a problem uploading the picture. It took a really long time to load, then it went to a blank white screen. Anyone else have this problem or can tell me what I'm doing wrong?

I'm only taking a wild guess here, but maybe the size of the photo needs to be reduced.

I'm not sure how to reduce the size. Any tips?

If you have it as a .jpg file, e-mail it to me and I can reduce the size for you and e-mail it back. My e-mail address is apwalters55@comcast.net I'll be leaving for North Jersey within the hour and will be back home late Wednesday evening.

Thanks Verandah Man, but I found a picture studio program on my computer where I reduced the size. Now I'm waiting for DIS to approve it. How long does that usually take? The only problem I had was trying to figure out how small I needed to make it. What is the size limit? I couldn't find it anywhere in the photo gallery.

Getting ready to walk out the door, so I have to make this quick. It could take anywhere from a few minutes to several hours before you receive and e-mail letting you know the photo was approved. I'm not really sure what the max size limit is for photos. Best of luck!!!

why can't I delete this post?

I tried to post a link to my picture (in Epson Photo Album), but it didn't work so I tried to delete this post and DIS wouldn't let me do it.

Guess I'll just have to wait for DIS to approve my picture. I'm so impatient. I finally got it done now I have to wait to show everyone. :hyper:

Hi! Those Mickey heads are cute. Where did you get them? Are those the paint chips? And how did you stick them on the door? Sorry...too many questions. Thanks! :)

Hi Lilo5!

You can get all the Mickey heads you want at the paint department at Home Depot. They carry Disney paint and these are the paint chips. You have to peel them off the backing paper. They are not sticky, so I taped small magnets to the back of them.

:)

Please let me know if this link doesn't work.

Zandy- I tried that link- it did not wokr for me. It said "An error has occured. It appears that you are not the owner of this site" and then told me to go and register.

Another idea for the pic. on the door: The cruise we took last year & in 2002 we attatched a magnet to the back of a post card: the post card was of the city that we were from--thus people passing by our cabin would know where we live.

b&bdiscruisers ~ I like that idea, about putting a postcard from your home town/city on your door. I might do that too. :D

Erin, you're not the only one, I apparently am not the owner either as I got the same error message when I tried to see the sign. Gayle's site works though, you can also get the magnetic papers at Staples, and DCL doesn't mind, but if a lot of people have the signs, (and they do) it kinda' defeats the purpose. he he he he:rolleyes:
Oh well, we for sure will use ours and we'll hang it about waist level, for the DD7

Very nice job Zandy! I like it lots!

karebear1 ~ Thanks! :D

I cut the pixels down so it would fit on DIS photo gallery, but I guess I didn't make it small enough. It barely fits in the window.
