cabin door decorations

We've only been on 1 cruise so far and I noticed a lot of doors that were decorated and what appeared to be mail holders. Is this encouraged? If so can you buy these things somewhere? It would be fun for the kids. We are going on another one in March 2012.

The "mail holders" are called Fish Extenders and are for other DIS cruisers to put gifts in them. You can join the group for your specific sailing. The decorations on the door must be attached by magnets. DCL has had to repaint too many doors after decorations were taped on them, so they're threatening to charge passengers who use the tape.

BTW, welcome to the DIS Boards! I didn't hear about this site til my 3rd Disney Cruise and have learned quite a bit.
