cabin campfires

Hi, This is my first post! I camped with my family at the Fort back in the 70s and loved it. Now my husband and I will be staying at one of the cabins for 4 nights in early December. I have been reading the information here about campfires and approved fire pits. I know that people can have campfires at the campsites, but are we allowed to have them at the cabins, too? And I also saw on Allears that the solid cover for firepits is only required near the creek, but from what I have read here, I believe that the solid covers are required for all firepits. Is that correct? Thanks.

To use fire pits at Disney's camp grounds you have to have a solid bottom and top.
If you want to use one at the cabin which is at Disney's camp ground, you will have to have solid bottom and top.
I have stayed at cabins and they all have a grill for you to cook on and they are just like the ones at camp sites.

1) Plus, pits/fireplaces must have mesh sides to prevent embers from escaping.
2) Once in a while I see them for $89, but mostly $150+.
3) Do a Google for "Fire Pit".

NOTE: As mentioned by veraletta, neither campsites nor cabins can have open fires, just fire pits.

I'm not sure where you could have a campfire at a cabin. I guess you could do it on the parking pad. Anyone done this?
