Anyone ever stay in #8040 on the Magic Western Caribbean. It is located left side, mid ship.

Any opinions on location, etc?

We stayed in 8540. It's in the same location as 8040, but on the starboard side. It is midship, near the elevators (but not too close) and convenient to the pools and spa. The only problem with this area is that you can sometimes hear the pool chairs being moved on Deck 9 early in the morning. It did not bother us, but la ight sleeper may be awakened by it. Have a great time.

We were next door in 8042. We loved the location. I had heard the warnings about being underneath the Goofy pool, but didn't hear any noise from that. I suppose that during the deck party on Mexicali night it may have been loud in our room, but I wouldn't know, since we were up at the party. :) We backed into Castaway Cay, so we were facing the pier, but that was no big deal. It was fun as we were leaving that day, standing on our verandah waving to the folks on the dock wearing their Mickey gloves. Anyway, we thought the location was great. :)

We stayed in 8550...across the hall and down about 6 rooms. We liked where the room was located for the pools and such but we had a really hard time with all of the noise we could hear in that room. We heard kids running constantly, the music from up above when we sailed from Nassau and it went on for what seemed like forever. We had a 3 year old who got tired so we went back to the room and the noise was ridiculous. The proximity to everything was nice but beware of the noise. ::MinnieMo
