Anyone ever have this cabin? I am a little worried about the noise factor. We are not early risers and it's pretty close to the elevators, yet it seems to be convenient and we will only ahve people on one side of us. What do you think?

Well, I do know that the stateroom on the other side of the ship from that, 5622, is well liked by those that have had the pleasure to stay there. In fact, some like get that stateroom on each of their cruises. :D

Having stayed on deck 5, I'd say its a great room. Its actually not all that close to the elevators really. The deck plans actually make it look closer than it is ... well to me anyway.

I think being the nearest room to the elevator presents no problem at all.

Thanks Paul.

Paul,
Is it you that asks for this cabin? I looked on the deck plan and it's the same one on the other side. What about any noise from being over AP in the morning? I don't care about evening noise, we are night owls.
I appreciate any info.:sunny:

No, I haven't ever stayed in 5622. Some other passenger has always hogged it ... they know who they are. LOL I can let you know who it is that has stayed in 5622 a lot if you like.

We have stayed in the Cat 7's just down from 5622 twice. Never at all noticed any noice from AP there.

The aft area of deck 5 is rather quiet since there are few staterooms there. And, the evacuation drill is held in AP where its out of the weather. Very nice area I think.

Yes please:teeth:

We stayed in 5124 on our last cruise - our good friends were next door in 5122. We LOVED this location and we never heard any noise. Deck 5 Aft is our absolute first pick of location on the ship - close to Kids Club, very light traffic and just a deck or two up or down the stairs to Animators, Parrot Cay, etc.

we booked that stateroom for our cruise in Feb. TA says we will be suprised at how quite it is. Of course we booked it because its close to the kids club that way our DD (hopefully) wouldnt run my legs off.

We were in 5622 once, although we are usually at the end of the hall in 5650. It is farther from the elevators than it looks on the deck plan...they will not cause any noise or traffic at all. And it's nice to only have a neighbor on one side. Less noise potential, and less chance of having a chain smoker on the verandah next door if you are a non-smoker.

Thanks everyone!! I guess it's a great cabin.
Barb, thanks for pointing out the smoking issue. That is a big plus for us.:sunny:

Is it Jan. 9th yet?;)

Thanks for all the info:sunny: We will be in 5132 this time around and we are looking forward (aft) to it.:boat:

We had 5124 and 5122 this past August. We loved it and got the same cabins in August 2006. No noise except the young teenagers running up and down the halls - but you could get that on any floor. Workers are also outside your window from time to time.

We had 5122 on our Oct 9 th cruise. It was never loud and we spent a lot of time in our room. The door right across the hall was a crew area that we later saw was crew elevators. We were close to everything! And the view was great. The movie theater was right there = very easy to go to! So was the kids club. DD loved it being on the same deck.

We would book this again in a heartbeat.
