This will be our second time cruising. We were on the Dream last time. I'm almost ashamed to say that several times at Cabanas I got so turned around I was lost. Couldn't find my table, ect. Is there a map of the stations and layout of Cabanas somewhere. I even didn't know where the drink stations were and turned out several times I went out of my way when it was right behind me. I checked the deck layouts but didn't run across anything that showed the full layout of cabanas with the food and drink stations. :fish:Trying to have a better plan this time!

I don't believe there's a layout/map of the actual facility.

Basically, its an oval doughnut shape, with the buffet in the center of the room. Tables are in roughly separated sections with drink stations located in each section.

The two sides are mirror images of each other so if you make it half way around you can stop.

It's funny because I think I didn't realize that the first time so I ended up going 3/4 thinking I missed something on the other side and then was so lost because they look identical. I'll take better notes the next time.

You are right. It can be confusing. I think of it like a horse shoe. So enter at either end or from the back and keep track of your table from there. My BIL and I had a whole debate about where the back of Cabanas was. To me, the back is at the curve in the bottom of the "horseshoe." That is also the back of the ship. To him, the "back" was the place in the restaurant that was farthest from where he entered. Made it tough for us to tell each other where we were sitting. There are really three sections, port (left), starboard (right) and aft (rear). As mentioned the right and left are the same, the rear is different. The drink stations are halfway back on both (right and left) sides.

I suggest a brief survey of everything before you start. Always helpful to see what buffet has, plus in this case, it can help you get oriented. Also, at any given time, one side or the other might be less crowded, so that is a bonus. Remember, unlike a normal "line" you don't have to start at the beginning and wait through all of it to get to the parts you want. Just go to the part you want and if there is no one getting that food, you can help yourself.
