Zero. I like the main dining rooms - and if there's one I don't like or a menu I don't like, I'll book Palo for that night.

The one time I thought I'd try it, I discovered that they'd essentially taken my least favorite dishes off the three menus and put them on the Cabanas night menu. I didn't stay.

Easier solution is to just switch up the MDE menu more often.
That gets tricky. People have favorites. Different recipes- different cook times, different food supplies (cost and suppliers might need to change), and someone is still likely to be unhappy with the menu at some point. I think DCL is smart with the Wish class ships having a show restaurant with food unique to that venue but constantly changing the menus for the MDRs is not an easy task.

Agreed. Very few cruise lines are changing up their menus all that often.

I always shake my head at the "same old menus" thing. Like people don't regularly go out to eat at the same places at home - most likely more often than they cruise - and land-based restaurants (especially chains) aren't known for mixing up their menus all that often.

I agree completely! I go to the same restaurants at home and am fine with fairly regular menus. And forget about the menu at home, which features a fairly limited rotation THAT I HAVE TO PREPARE!
I'll take the MDRs any day!!

For one and done cruisers, yeah a fixed dinner show makes sense. But when I've seen that show a few time, and the tables are all squished together to allow for that show... I'm not so sure it's all that great of an idea for your Castaway members? Thankfully there are options on deck or the upscale dining options - I know I enjoyed Cabanas a few times for it's flexibility.

Times we went is was only a small section of one side of Cabanas that was open.... and was a rather limited menu (no buffet). Just allowed us to be flexible on those nights.
