Cabanas at RPR ?

What info can you give me about the cabanas at RPR? I was told that some have whirlpools in them? Can you reserve one the same day you want it ... or should you make advance ressies? Also, do you need ressies at the casual restaurant at RPR? I'm sure you need them for Tchoupchop. Any info is appreciated.

My husband and I are DVC members, but for fun, we thought we'd venture out beyond the Disney gates and try something new .... the Universal resorts!

the cabanas do not have their own hot tub but there are a few situated at the hot tubs, if i was booking one i would personally get one away from them , as there was quite a few people in the tubs when we ahere there, and the people who had paid for the cabanas did not get much privacy.
when we went to Jakes bar for dinner we did not realise that ressies where needed for eating inside so i would make ressies for when you want to eat, although we where able to eat at the tables outside without ressies

RPR has only 3 cabanas, so book early (you reserve by calling the fitness center). # 2 is by the pool, and is great for parents with kids they want to keep an eye on. The other two are more secluded, but are right in front of hot tubs and you do tend to feel like the users of the hot tubs are invading your personal space. We prefer #2.
