Cabana rentals at Volcano Bay

My question i need help with is I have 8 people going to Volcano Bay. When I called Universal they told me that the cabana’s are only for 6 people. So can the extra 2 guests simply use the cabana throughout the day or do I have to pay out the *ss for a family cabana? (I don’t see how anyone would monitor who comes and goes from the cabana).

I do know that we each got a wristband with the cabana so they knew who "belonged". You wouldn't have wrist bands for the extra 2 and I think even 6 would be a tight fit if you plan on spending much time there together.

Thanks for the info. I was wondering about a wristband ID system. I called for the prices and it was around $250 for the Cabana and $600 for the 16 person cabana. Guess I’ll just rent 2 cabanas for the price. Lol.
