I was thinking the exact same thing! I've never done the Geocache thing but maybe we can start something like that here. Won't be able to use cell phones so we'll need to leave hints where the cache is. I'll leave an "treasure" at or near Cabana 25, then JS can find it (or try to). If he finds it, he can take my item (as a souvenir) and leave a different item. I'll leave hints on where the item was left when I get back on The Dream or when right I get home (post on the Dis Board). We can even start a thread and keep track of the the "cache". What do you think? CastawayCache?I can see leaving a hidden gift for them... Maybe like a geocache? That would be pretty cool.
Cool. and people found it too.Sounds like fun. There are actually a couple of geocaches on CC. http://www.geocaching.com/geocache/...cay?guid=be75fd23-9bed-452c-8aed-6226154cc0f8

when are you cruising?
Hi RRB. I'm a "she" but no worries, been called a heck of a lot worse LOL.
I like that idea and can also bring something if another dis'er has a cabana by/next to our cabana. But, I am sure they clean them out
so how would this work?
When you return, I'll be gone already so won't have any of your information, although I guess I can look on here or e-mail.
I'm leaving for Disney on September 10.
How were you lucky enough to snag cabana 25? I am in concierge and emailed them at midnight the "day" my booking opened. we are concierge also, staying in 12526. I sent my email in at 12:00:30 and got everything I wanted
Do you have anything planned for the cruise? We did Dream with my dh, dd-21, ds-17 and my mom and my sister's family of 5 over NYE and had a blast! This time, it will just be my mom and me and we used our DVC points. We booked RCCL Independence over NYE for this year.
We booked Palo and Remy first two nights and will book the last two nights once onboard with concierge, want to do the CC 5K and a champagne tasting.
Also want to get a length of cruise Rainforest pass for both of us
Happy planning!
I believe you let the shoreside concierge know your requests at 125 days out. And at 120 days they'll see to them. AFAIK, they should contact you with detail as to how to do it.Well, I've pretty much decided that I think i will ask for a Cabana on the Family beach, even though there's only hubby and I.... my reasonings are mostly because I am deathly afraid of not having a netted off swim area from the sea life in the ocean/ particularly the thought of sharks worries me/ I know, may be childish but it is a very real fear of mine, and if I'm to be in the ocean, I would prefer to know that There are life guards as well as a netted off swim area. The private beach for Cabana renters is also a plus. I am trying to decide which cabana to request, and i've narrowed it down to #4, #5 and #8. I would love a nice view of the ship.
I am around day 144 from my trip, so I am guessing I can email shoreside concierge soon with my requests?? does anyone know the address we email for requests??
Thanks for all the advice, your reviews and thoughts where very helpful in deciding to rent a cabana....Can't wait for halloween![]()

Like sailingseas wrote, there a number of websites that can give you the sunset/sunrise times for any date you wish. Remember though, there are "seatings" for both Palo and Remy beginning at 6:00 PM. Palo is set up for a 2 hour dinner and Remmy a 3 hour dinner. A 6:00 - 6:30 seating will work with the sunset, at least for September 7. It is one of our absolute favorite parts of a Disney Cruise, a very relaxed dinner at Remy (or Palo) watching the sunset. Ask for the Wine Room at Remy, a great dining experience.RRB - what time is sunset usually do I can think about that for our Palo dinner evening?![]()
Which sailing are you on in September? We have sailed Disney twice (2013, 2014) and have been in a cabana on SB both times. We will be there again in September! Love the quiet and seclusion there.
