Cabana on Family Beach or Serenity Bay?

Thank you very much for this information.
Is it correct you sent the e-mail the day you were able to send to concierge?
How will you pre-stock the fridge with alcohol? Don't we have to pay for alcohol? Would you just tell them what you want?

Besides cabana, I was going to book Palo two nights and Remy two nights. I know I can only book Remy/Palo once each online and was going to do that
but now thinking I will just ask the concierge to book all four nights. Champagne tasting and full length of cruise Rain Forest.

Thank you very much!

  • I sent the email at 125 days (not at midnight, around 8:00 a.m.)
  • I didn't know if we could say we wanted a 12-pack of Miller Lite already in the fridge when we arrived at the cabana but I was assured a cabana host would be at our disposal!
  • I think shoreside can only book one of each ahead of time (Palo and Remy) but once onboard, they can book the other for you.
  • I also asked about tastings (Champagne, specifically) and they said they do not know ahead of time what would be offered but once onboard, they can book any tastings that will be offered.
  • I bought a one-day Rainforest on the Wonder last year and never used it. Too much other stuff going on to spend that much time in the spa.
I would definitely ask shoreside & on-board concierge for anything you want instead of doing it yourself. They are your guest services. That's part of what you're paying for. I forgot to say earlier, that 3 of the 4 of us will be "celebrating" our 50th birthdays and my husband and I are celebrating our 25th anniversary. I told them that as well in the email and they said they had noted it. I have no idea if either will be recognized in anyway but I threw it out there anyway.

I misunderstood, I thought you meant stateroom fridge!

also agree about the one day pass. I got it for my husband and myself so I will try to go and use it, but I can't imagine trying to use it everyday but I have a 6 year old to entertain also! lol

I just commented on your PTR - I'm in 12010 so I'll be sure to say hello in the hall or lounge!

We've pushed the button on 6 different occasions with three different cabana reservations. It never took less than 10 minutes for him to get there. The last time, after our first attempt, we just started walking everywhere. It's not like I didn't need the exercise anyway.

The walk from #25 isn't bad either, really. However, the original poster was concerned about his mother's mobility problems. If one is going to be dependent on golf cart rides anyway, might as well get the added privacy of #25.

A day or 2 before you get to CC you get a little cabana package, which includes your cabana bracelet. You also get a menu of things that you can have pre-ordered and placed in your cabana, which you return to one of the concierge hosts. We were one of the first few off the ship and our Heinies hadn't arrived yet, but showed up about 5 minutes later. The cabana host came around often enough that we never went thirsty for long after all the beers disappeared and never had to call for them.

Just an FYI- I was able to book Cabana #21 online when my window opened up. Not really sure how I was able to get it since we are only Silver, but I will take it! The price is significantly more expensive than the others.

Cabana #21 is expensive because it's HUGE. I'm amazed you were able to book it online. I was under the impression that it had to be booked directly by calling DCL. Maybe if it isn't booked by a certain time before sailing, they open it up online.

We just booked it for our cruise this weekend. Looking forward to having the extra room with our extended family there with us.

You're quite welcome.

22 is as close as you can get to the BBQ area. 5 minute walk? I don't find it prohibitive. It's the closest cabana to the amenities of SB. We've had it on three different occasions and been quite happy with it.
Thank you for posting this, I've been concerned with reading all! I have cabana 22, everyone seems to want 25. I just want to lay in the sun in peace, and be near food and restroom! can I pull a chair down near water?

On Serenity Bay there are already chairs near the water for any adults on the beach. Unlike the FB cabanas with their own beach, the SB cabanas share beach with the rest of us.

You can pull a chair down. Just grab one on the beach. You'll have to step out of the cabana, turn right, walk about halfway to the next cabana and then turn left to walk out to the beach.

Hi all. Thank you all again for your help. I booked SB cabana and got number 25. Very happy and cant wait!

Well, they say time changes things..... the more I think on it, the more I think I would prefer the family beach/ number 4 or 5..... i love the view of the ship and just the fact that there is the net to protect the swimming area ( shark phobia, lol) also I like the private beach idea for Cabana renters, as well as it being more central..... yes, it's pricey, but I really need to keep sun to a minimum, so the shade will be a very important thing for me. I will just use my OBC and look at the price as my excursion! I know Hubby will be much happier with a private oasis on the beach, and I think renting a cabana is going to make our day that much better in the long run!
Disney Fantasy, is there a preference you have for either Cabana 4 or 5?? I should probably draft up an email soon for shoreside concierge with my wish list -- as I would like them to have my cabana preferences as soon as they are able to book! I believe I am around day 145'ish right now

We had cabana #8 and it is my favorite.....a bit further down the shoreline than 4 or 5 so a would think a little quieter. The first two times, we shared a cabana with friends of ours who were concierge and able to book it for us and it was #10 which was great, but #8 still has the best view of the ship IMO

We have no kids and have only done cabanas on Serenity Bay. All I can say is...

25. Is. Heaven.
We got #25 on our 120 day reservation window. Love it!

We booked #25 at 97 days. I keep staring at it thinking it's a mistake. It's a great location.

I have No. 25 on SB. My sailing begins on September 14 on the Dream.
