Cabana Massage

Cruise #3 coming up in April - but have never tried the massage/spa. Are the cabana massages on CC better than the Vista Spa on the ship? Any help appreciated - thanks

The cabana massage was a huge highlight for me on our cruise in May. I know that if we do a Disney Cruise that will be on my list for sure. It was very relaxing and the ocean in the background was awesome. Definetly a must do.

I haven't had a massage onboard, but I can tell you that it was wonderful lying in the cabana listening to the ocean. Heavenly!

My wife and I have done both (cabana and on board). We enjoyed both, but thought that the cabana massage was truly unique and more pleasurable. However, the cabana massage is more expensive. Also, if you had a very cool or windy day, that could affect the experience. Enjoy whatever you choose!

Also be aware that, if you're looking for a slightly more peaceful experience, there's the option of "no solicitation". Part of the job of the masseuse is to try to get you to buy some products. If you don't want any of that, you can tell them at the time you make your reservation, and that'll save you from repeating "no, thank you" during the massage itself.

I am going to try to book this for my MIL (B-day gift) on our upcoming cruise but my question is this...what do they do if you book the cabana massage & the ship can't dock at CC that day due to weather? Do you get a massage in the spa at the lower price?

We just returned from a terrific time on the 2.5 Eastern. We were unable to dock at CC (due to high winds and tremendous currents) and therefore unable to enjoy our cabana massages. When we were unable to dock after the first attempt, we went to the spa and asked for an afternoon couples massage onboard. We also specified that we'd rather keep our cabana massage if we were able to dock later in the day. We were told that it wouldn't be a problem. We ended up enjoying a "marvelous experience" (according to DH!).
