we are staying at cabana bay 8/3 to 8/6 - we have annual passes and have been quite often over the year, this will be our first time without express passes

i’m debating wether to do a day at vb or not - there’s 6 of us so it’s not a cheap add on but i think with staying at cb it might be cool and a way to add something new to the trip and break up the heat

if early entry is a hour early that day do u have to show up even earlier to the vb entry? will there be a long line for early entry? does the extra hour and separate entry give much of an advantage?

Oops, deleted my the first paragraph. Just checked the app and volcano bay is scheduled to open at 8 AM the first week of August. It's going to be pretty empty at that time I suspect. Lots of opportunity to ride with little waits if you can get there that early.

Cabana Bay has its own security entry, you will be through security quickly but there can be a line at the tapstyles for entry. Generally it moves pretty fast after the opening time. At that time of day 7:45 is probably early enough to leave CB for the walk over. Ride lines are quite short in that early period, especially good for the water coaster, with little to no waits. I ride the rides I want early, then spend the more crowded time in the lazy rivers and pools.

If you want to go just the one day, it is probably cheaper to buy a day ticket to VB than to upgrade to the 3 park AP. Unless you'd rather go a few mornings.
