Does anyone have an estimate for a cab from Wilderness Lodge to Poly? We have an early Ohana breakfast. Also are cabs usually parked out front that early in the morning? There will be 7 of us. Thanks in advance

I don't know about cabs-but you could take the boat to the MK then monorail to Poly. Transportation normally starts pretty early with ADRs in mind.

830 ADR and I would prefer to not involve MK. We will have 2 toddlers and a six year old. Therefore least amount of time in transit is a priority.

Someone on the TRansportation Board should be able to help. I have seen people posting cab fare calculators there. You are wise to avoid the monorail.

Or, look for the thread here called "cab prices", it has a link to Mears Transportation, they have the cabs.

We are staying at BLT/CR for a 2nd time and we take the boat from CR to WL for dinner at AP. You can take the boat. I believe it may stop at both resorts or take boat to CR and then 1 monorail stop to the Poly.

I think experts here on this board can give you some expert advice. :thumbsup2 Danny

I once took a cab from CB to Downtown Disney and it cost $8. I would think it would be even less (or at least not more than that) from Poly to GF because of less traffic and closer proximity.

It will be under $5. It's less than a mile. You can ask for a van, which is the same price. There are usually cabs available in the morning; in fact it's a great time for a cab, as people are heading out for breakfast and the parks. There might not be a van waiting, but the valets will call you one and there are so many of them circulating around that it shouldn't take more than a few minutes for one to arrive.

Just get out there 10-15 minutes early or so and tell a bell services person that you need a cab for 7 people to the Polynesian. He'll call one and help you into it. Allow $10 just in case, but it's not going to be that much. It's a super short trip.

This sounds like the best solution. Boat to Contemporary, monorail to Polynesian. Head down to the boat dock earlier in your trip and ask what time the boats start in the morning.

It cost us just under $5 to make that same trip last year. I swear the driver slowed down on purpose so we'd get stuck at the light! The total cost is based more on time than distance.

That's what I would do as well. But some folks prefer to avoid the Disney transportation and use cabs.

I gotta say, if there's one situation that calls for a cab, it's WL to one of the other MK resorts, especially the Poly. It's under $5 and takes literally one minute, maybe two if you hit the light. Taking boats and monorails could take you 50 minutes or more. The absolute best case to the Poly if you walk briskly and arrive just as a boat or monorail is leaving is by my reckoning 20 minutes.

Of course, if you see the boats and monorails as a pleasurable experience in themselves, then that's a different story. Purely as transportation, though, they're not super fast.
