Your cost will depend on where you staying or leaving from, but cab fare from about the middle of Disney property (say, one of the Epcot area resorts) to Universal Studios is around $33 one-way, plus driver's tip.

I've seen the DU offer and am considering it, but was trying to cut the cost. We'll only do 1 day at US- unless DD15 really loves it, but that'd mess with MY Disney vacation!! One day ticket is $79, DU ticket $109. I was thinking I could get 2 one day tickets if I can find rt travel to US for POP for under $60. I have a one-day car rental from the Car Care Center for $43, but that means meeting them at 7 each morning for pick-up/drop-off. Tiring as we are night owls, but doable, I guess. HOWEVER, that'll only save us about $10 and involve a bit of hassle. Not sure yet what we'll do... Dreams might be the most reasonable option after all.

The Dreams ticket gives you access to both parks - depending on when you go and how busy the parks are, that might give you more bang for the buck than two 1-day tickets. And you'd only have to give up one day of Disney.
