cab fare: MCO to AKL. How much?

Any DIS'ers with recent experience taking cab from MCO to AKL or back? How much was the actual fare?

Am trying to plan transport for two familys coming in different dates but leaving same date and time. Have used towncars in past but with one roundtrip, a one way, tips, the need for van on the way back, trying to figure out equitable costs and who pays what is making my brain hurt. It also seems that taxi may just be about the same in cost and would be easier for each family to pay their own cab to AKL and share/split fare on the way back.

One family (2adults/2kids) arrive 11/13
One family (1adult/1kid) arrives 11/15
All (6) return to MCO on 11/20 for same flight.

You are looking at the $50-$55 range one way not including tip.

I would get in touch with one of the car services and see what kind of magic they can work for you. I am quite certain it will be less than the cost of cab fare!

I have used Jimmy in the past and absolutely LOVE him--he has a gorgeous white stretch, which would be perfect to take you all back to the airport. He can also arrange for a towncar for you from the airport to WDW. His number is 407.869.9007.

You said you have 6 for the return trip. I don't think that many will fit in a regular cab. That said I've had pleasant experiences with yellow cabs but it was from Universal to the airport so I can't help you on $.

Thanks for everyone's advise/input. With cab fare potentially $50 or more, one way, figured it was probably cheaper or same price to do town car service. So, scheduled a round trip with van under one name with one way under my name. Booked FL Tours. Pricewise it's just what is posted on their web sites.
