Cab costs from Disney resorts

Can anyone give me a rough idea on cab fares from a Disney resort to one of the outside parks i.e Universal?.Is there a firm that's commonly used? Thanks.

I think we paid around $40 from Beach Club Villas to Hard Rock Hotel.

I can't remember the costs too well but I do know it's important you get a metered yellow 'chequer' cab from Mears. These are the ones that are waiting on the cab ranks at the wdw parks and Universal (orange in that part of town I think). If you are getting your hotel to call one specify that this is what you want or call them yourselves from the room.

Hi from Port orleons riverside we paid $21 to seaworld, and about $28 to universal IOA.Depends on the traffic as well as the cabs are metered.

If staying at Disney or Universal this is who they will call automatically as its their recognised company
