CAA Universal Tickets - Upgrade to AP?

Can someone please give me a rundown on the if/how you can upgrade the 3-Day, 3-Park, Park-to-Park AM UO Tickets to an AP? Can you? What value is attributed to them? Generally how much more do you have to pay to upgrade them to an AP after you get there?

Thank you. I find the process a little confusing and it all seems like there's caveats.

We'd be down there from about Nov. 27 - Dec. 8. We're planning to stay on-site and would like the flexibility to come and go from the parks as little or as much as we'd like, as we usually only go in for 2-3 hours at a time. So a 3-Day pass won't really cut it.

We will be down there during their pre-Christmas events with a weekend that will likely have their MS holiday concert in US. We may or may not go to see that. We'd likely like to keep the option open to see it -- and to just be able to enter the Studios side on the weekend, and not have IOA as the only option on the weekend days.

I've been wondering something similar about the airmiles 3 day pass, but my dates would work with upgrading it to a seasonal if that's allowed.

My understanding is that if we went to upgrade (with tickets -- not sure about tickets when they are AM tickets) it after the weekend (and the MS concert), we'd still be allowed to pick a Seasonal AP and the blackout dates would only kick in then (and wouldn't be an issue for our stay anymore). But I'm not entirely sure or clear. Seems confusing (and maybe based on the team member dealing with us at Guest Services that day). We might be allowed to upgrade to a Power AP instead, I think.

But, again, I don't know if you're allowed to upgrade AM purchased tickets at all. Or what value they are given if you do when making the upgrade.
