CAA Theme Park Tickets

We are going to WDW in July, staying off property, and would like to get and pay for our passes in advance. You can do this through CAA/AAA in Canada. My question is if anyone has done this? With the rumours of the tiered passes would that affect already purchased passes?

I've bought tickets from CAA for several past trips. Had no issue using them at all. The only thing I would double check is the price - even with the exchange rate currently, I would check if ticket prices from Undercover Tourist are cheaper - last time I checked them they came out enough less than CAA that you would see a benefit ordering from there unless your credit card charges a conversion fee. I have a USD credit card from BMO so no conversion fee like my regular MC that charges an additional 2.5% when purchasing in USD which would probably negate any savings. Although there is something to be said for the simplicity of walking into your local CAA office and coming out with tickets.

simplicity might be overselling the process. I've been trying to purchase universal tickets at my local CAA branch--I've spent over 2 hours on 2 separate days in their offices, and still no tickets. part of it is with universal tickets ( unlike disney) you get some discounts in the park if you buy tickets through CAA. but no one at my branch seems to know how to get those discount codes for me. it's been the opposite of convenient (and when their complaint department opens on Monday, CAA is gonna know it too!)
