If I were to purchase a membership (partly for the discount am I able to just purchase to basic straight CAA auto membership and qualify for wdw discount?

you can purchase an al a carte membership which allows you the use of all services EXCEPT the auto club. We did this as we have auto club pkg through another carrier. the cost was around $25 and i think the basic car membership was around $70. If you don't have auto coverage, you may want to take advantage of the pkg with it

Hmmm nice tip. WE do use another place for auto coverage, it's nice that they offer something smaller. Will have to think about this
