CA Schools out 9/26/12?

I will be at DLR next week but have heard rumors that some schools are out Wednesday 9/26/12. Does anyone know what schools are out and if this will make the parks way busier this day? I have all week to go to the parks but was thinking if this day is going to be crazy busy during the shorten park hours (10-8) maybe going somewhere else. Thanks

I'm in Northern California and none of the school around here that I know of are off on 9/26.

Schools in the los angels unified school district have the whole day off, and schools in the anaheim school district have a half day off.

I'm in Northern California and DD1 has the day off. Alas we are too far to go on a one day trip to the parks. If we were closer, I'd definitely consider going.

Los Angeles is the main city next to Disneyland, and Anaheim is the city Disneyland is located in. If they are out of school or have a half day it could be more crowded than normal.

Chula Vista Elementary school district in the San Diego area which consists of over 40 elementary schools is off next week and the week after. Not sure about any others.

Wow. We are going next week too. I'm surprised schools are closed so soon after the school year starts. Maybe that explains why the entertainment is heavier for the week than I anticipated for September. We have 7 days in the park so I'm sure we'll get to do everything.

No idea about California, but I thought I'd throw in that at least one school district over here in Phoenix has next Wed. through Friday off for Yom Kippur. I'm sure plenty of people from here will use that as their fall break to Disneyland. I know we would if we didn't have Disney plans for November and December already.

When we booked our hotel it was $387 cheaper the last week of September over the first week of October. I thought that would be an indication of the crowd. We have yet to be there when there wasn't a crowd but it really doesn't bother us too much.

Looks like all APs are good to go, except for the last weekend of the month.

AP's are not blocked as I intend to be there the 27th. Also school started in July for a lot of districts. For :/A/ though it is just that one day the have off. So I'm hoping Thursday won't be too bad.

I live in Ventura and no schools in Ventura Unified are off. They just had last Monday off for Rosh Hashanah. We are about an hour and a half from Disney.

Just checked another district in Ventura County--it's Yom Kippur and they are off the 26th. So that is probably why LA is off.

I'm in Orange County, Mission Viejo, about 30 minutes from Disneyland.

No school on 9/26. At least you won't be there tomorrow, space shuttle fly over. That's going to be crowded!!!
But what a cool thing to experience. Have a wonderful trip!
