CA Grill Question....help please

I just booked the CA Grill for our last night at Disney. It's on Dec. 20th at 5:40pm. She said it was MVMCP that night so fireworks would be twice...once at 6pm and again at 9pm. Is it even dark in Florida at 6pm? I know this may be a stupid question but I have no idea. Can someone please let me know if this is what goes on? The main reason for having dinner at CA Grill is to maybe see the fireworks and end our trip with a bang! Thanks a bunch!

Florida is far enough east, it should be getting dark by the time the 6:00 fireworks start and completly dark, but the time they end. Plus, you are going on Dec 20th, which is a day or two away from the first full day of winter, that will the be earliest the sun goes down.

It has very little to do with east or west, except as it pertains within the time zone, where the effect is mild. A bigger consideration in North America is how far north or south you are. For example, in the summer Florida gets dark about a half hour earlier than New York. In the winter, Florida gets dark about a full hour later than New York.

In any case, sunset on Dec 20th in Orlando will be at 5:33 PM; it should be fairly dark by 6 PM.
