CA Grill no PS?

Hello!
I was curious if any one has ever had any luck getting into the CA grill w/out a PS? We have planned a very last minute trip to go next weekend over Easter (very crowded I know). I had no problems getting any other PS including Rose and Crown around Illuminations time but desperatley want to eat at CA Grill. Do you think we have a chance if we show up right at 5:30?

Any imput would be geratly appreciated!

We've never tried dining there without a PS but I think you are right in trying at 5:30 rather than any later. I would certainly try again to get a PS once you're down there...especially early in the day that you want to dine there. Good luck!

I would agree. I think 5:30 is your best bet. Also keep calling, there are always cancelations. Even try that morning and during the day.

Back on November 23 my BF and I walked into California Grill about 7:30 pm and put our names on the wait list, went outside for the shuttle launch at 7:50....watched fireworks at 8:00 and were called to our table at 8:05. No PS required. We had the same kind of luck in Dec 2001 at Ohana......window table with fireworks view as a walk-in, while others with ressies waited in the lobby.

We have done this successfully but not on Easter weekend. As others have already indicated, going earlier is probably the best chance you'll have at pulling this off. Good luck!

Thanks so much every one!! We are not big PS people or planners (as can be seen by booking this trip this week) and usually do get the PS that day but know how difficult CA Grill is. We will give it a try!! At the very least we can have apps in the lounge.
