CA Exit at the end of the day -- only through the main gate?

I would like to be able to use the new entrance/exit closer to the Pixar Place Hotel (where we're staying) at the end of day (at park closing). But will they steer us towards the main entrance instead? Does this depend on where we're at the time? If we're watching WOC -- surely we won't be herded to the front right??

(Last time we stayed at GC and at the end of the day they pushed us towards the main gate instead of the hotel entrance. Wasn't sure if that was because we were coming from Marvel and we'd hit the main gate first)

Unless for some reason the entrance/exit closes early, I believe all you need to do is tell the CM that you want to use your hotel exit.

I watched the 10:15 WoC from my VGC balcony a couple nights this past weekend, and I definitely saw people exit through the Pixar Pier/Place exit.

You should be able to use the entrance by Corn Dog Castle. We always use it when we stay at the Grand Californian.
