I just talked to a DVC sales person at DTD in CA and he said they were supposed to hear something about a CA DVC in four weeks. Don't know if that is old or new news, but it was new to me.

By the way, the Grand Californian is great!!

Thanks for the rumor. It's always fun to get these little tidbits. I think DL is in the running for the next DVC as well as the CR or AKL.

DVC has had sales offices at Disney Land for about a year now. So the rumors have been hot & heavy about a California property. If the person you talked to at DTD knew what he was talking about, and they frequently don't, it would certainly be news.

I would love to see DVC construction at DL and would definately book it should it ever be built.

Disney originally purchased property in Newport Beach, CA in 1994 for a DVC project. Unfortunately, the project was canceled a few years later. The property was sold and is now the site of a Marriott Vacation Club timeshare.

Hopefully, Disney will do a DL site in the not too distant future.
