Hi all!
I just completed my first visit to DLP this Easter, but I have long ties to Disney. My first visit to Disneyland was way back in 1972, and to WDW in 1974. I grew up around the world, ending up with English as my native language, even though it isn't my parents', but with few chances to visit Disney parks again until the late '80s, when a friend of mine moved to California, and I managed to make several visits to the park. My husband and I also had a great 2 week visit to WDW in 2003, while I was expecting my eldest.
This is the reason we finally had to go this year. My son's favorite book is our photo album from the 2003 trip. One day he began crying, and I asked him why. He said that he had tried so hard to see Mickey Mouse, but couldn't manage to do so through my belly! Needless to say, the Easter trip was a great success.
I can boast of another Disney connection: my dad was a journalist back in the 1940s and 50s, and apparently interviewed Walt Disney at some point back then!
About me: I'm a self-employed translator, and I live in Norway. I spend a lot of time in the UK, and am looking forward to another trip to DLP!
