I should be on the DME with DW and DS5 on the way "home" to Kidani :yay::cheer2::yay:

I am looking forward to:
- spending a week with my DW :lovestruc and not having to worry about who is going to get done at work first to pick up the boy, do the laundry, make dinner, etc, etc.

- unpacking my purple box
- heading for the park by late AM tomorrow
- dining at Sanaa for the first time ever :thumbsup2
- sitting on the balcony sipping on some adult beverage ::yes::
- attending MNSSHP :woohoo:
- F&W :cool1:
- eat to the beat :rockband:
- Wishes and Illuminations
- Pirates and Pals cruise pirate:
- moving to BLT mid-week for our first stay ther (and walking back from MNSSHP :cool1:)

- oh yeah . . . and watching my son roam around WDW with his ears on from sun up to sun down and marveling at all the Magic:earboy2:!! After all . . . his excitement for all that is Disney is what really makes it worth it for us!!

Looks like your trip has all the makings of a fantastic trip!

At Sanaa, get the breads and the tandoori chicken...both are fabulous!

I love, love, love AKV.....sitting out on the balcony, watching the animals.

MNSSHP is my favorite hard ticket WDW event. The parade and fireworks are great....love them both.

Enjoy!
Just got my text that my purple box was delivered to AKL-Jambo :cool1:
Flying out in 4 hours!
Enjoy Sanaa--we've loved everything we've gotten--especially the bread service. I'll be ordering that tonight:thumbsup2

Have a wonderful time and enjoy the F & W Festival. That's mostly for mama and papa! :thumbsup2

Sounds great!!! i am in vacation mode now!! We aren't leaving until saturday but no more work.:cool1: tomorrow i have to do laundry, pack, errands and quick shopping trip for misc items and get kids from school. enjoy the beauty of kidani for me. we love it there.

We arrived at Kidani around 11AM yesterday. Our room was not ready, so we checked our carry-on stuff and caught a bus to AK. As we stepped off the bus, I received a text that the room was ready -- oh well, we decided to enter the park anyway. We came back to Kidani around 4 and went straight to the room. We are in a 2BR standard view, but were pleasantly surprised to have a partial view of the Pembe savanna as well as the pool area. We have seen several different animals in this area . . . in fact, an Okapi, Eland and some Tommies are out there right now! This is great, because I was feeling bad that we didn't get a savanna view while hosting some good friends. Also, we have a short-cut to the pool, which is nice.

We had dinner at Sanaa for the first time last night. THe bread was awesome! Everything was fantastic -- we're definitely eating there again. The crowds were not too bad at MK this morning. We'll be heading back in a little while to catch Wishes tonight. We just love this place!

Sounds like you are off to a great start. We had a chance to eat at Sanna in April and absolutely LOVED it! Are you trying Jiko or Boma? Boma is always our first meal every trip. I still have to wait 6 months to get back there... enjoy every minute for me! :lovestruc

So, I'm not really great at these live trip reports -- I'm too tired at the end of the day, and we are out the door early in the AM.

We went to Epcot all day on 10/16. The crowds weren't too bad and the F&W was fantastic. My 5 yo DS actually ate his own Kefta from Morocco! We were able to walk onto Fast Track -- twice. We didn't have time to get back to Soarin', but hopefully later in the week. We went to the Tequila bar at the Mexico pavilion -- who knew a cucumber margarita could be so yummy!! Oh, and I did get one of the Jim Beam lemonades.:thumbsup2 We had dinner at Via Napoli. We got a salad and two pizzas for the six of us. We love the pizza dough and the Italian sausage was really good! We caught Illuminations and went back to the room to get some sleep for Monday.

Monday was HS day. My son love the Lights, Motors, Action stunt show. We had a fairly leisurely day at HS and went back to the room early. We ended up at DTD for dinner. We did not have ADR's and ended up at Bongos. The food was good, but we had horrendous service.:sad2: The manager bought us dinner. The food was so good, I still think I would go back there again.

Today, we moved over to BLT in a studio. BIG change from a Kidani 2BR. I can't figure out where to put the purple box! We are in the North tower, even number room -- partial MK view!! :yay: The staff at BLT have been really friendly and accommodating. We ate at the Wave for the first time, which was really good. We were supposed to go to MK for MNSSHP tonight, but re-scheduled to Thursday, given the weather outlook. Now it's time to get the boy to bed. I'll try to report in a more timely fashion tomorrow!

It sounds like you're having a great trip! That is quite a change in types of villa!

Hey we could be neighbors, we're here at BLT too in a north end lake view studio with an MK view. I'm glad you could reschedule MNSSHP. We too were feeling sorry for those folks at the party tonight. The temps dropped and the rain started and then it suddenly stopped. So maybe they'll be okay. Hope the rest of your trip goes well.

Wonderful! I have a feeling that lemonade will be one of many. :thumbsup2

Just had the cucumber margarita for the first time on Saturday! It was awesome--nice and refreshing. Crowds were horrible when we left around 2 though.
I'm worried about Bongo's though--we had dinner there in September. They blamed the horrible service on their computer system. Manager offered us 50% off-then I sat for almost another half hour waiting for the check. Had to track down the server. Told them I'd love to pay my bill but they needed to get it to me within 10 minutes or I was leaving. Bill came at No charge except for drinks. But we loved the food--even my meal which I have no clue what it was since it wasn't the shrimp I ordered but they never came back for me to tell them so I had to eat it--we were starving by that point.

We are lovin' our stay at BLT! It is so nice to sit on the balcony and peer out at Cinderella's Castle. It does make it a little hard to plan on going to any other park in the morning, once our 5 yo son sees the castle.

We spent Wednesday morning at MK. We were able to walk on most of the rides. Around noon, we transferred over to Epcot for lunch around the world. Yesterday we sampled foods from Greece, Korea, Argentina, New Zealand and Germany. Oh yes, and we stopped in a France for a frozen Cosmo and Pomegranate Kir.:thumbsup2 There are still a few kiosks that I hope to get to tomorrow, but we have enjoyed all of them. Our son only wanted some white rice, so we stopped at the Lotus Blossom Cafe and they gave us a giant serving of white rice for $2.50! Best deal ever at Disney!! We came back to BLT and swam for a bit (it was a little cool, but I guess you don't notice that when you are 5). Then we cleaned up and went up to TOTWL for Wishes. It was really neat to see from up there. We had a cheese plate and DW and I each had a martini. I think we still prefer Wishes from Main Street USA, but it was fun to do. The lounge was not very busy at all, but it was quite cold a windy last night.

We spent this morning at AK. We just love Nemo the musical and DS got to see the characters at Camp Mickey. We were lucky to get a noon reservation at Yak & Yeti at the last minute this morning. That is one of our favorite restaurants at Disney -- if only they took TIW! At least the DVC and AP discounts work there. We are now resting up in the room so we have energy for MNSSHP tonight. Hopefully it won't cool down too quickly tonight. My son is wearing a Capt. Jack Sparrow costume, so it will be a nice break to have cool weather. When we were here in '09, he wore a heavy stuffed Nemo costume and it was in the 80's and humid at the party.:scared1: He did not stay in the costume for long.
