When I called two weeks ago to book a 2bdrm at VWL for 11/26-12/2 I was able to book it but was told that availability at BCV and BWV was non-existant. I read another post from yesterday that said that all resorts except OKW/SSR are booked up for the last week of Nov and first week of Dec.

It looks like BWV was booked up b/4 the 7 month window, which does not bode well for your chances.

I think the days starting Sunday after Thanksgiving should be pretty easy to get. Not so sure about the holiday week though....

We're not staying at quite the same busy time, but our waitlist for 11/18 - 11/22 for a 2br villa at BWV (boardwalk view, no less) just came through Tuesday, after only being on the waitlist one week. Of course, we're leaving the Wed. before Thanksgiving day, so the demand for rooms isn't quite as great, but it can still happen for you, especially in the preferred view category at BWV.

Last year we wait-listed for BWV and BCV for the Sun through Thurs right after Thanksgiving (11/27-12/2). We first got a 2 br preferred view at BWV to come through about 2.5 weeks after we went on the waitlist (again, we weren't wait-listed for the Thanksgiving weekend nights). We continued to stay on the waitlist for BCV, though, and about mid June we were confirmed in a dedicated 2br unit at BCV.

My advice is to try the waitlist and see what happens. You have alot of months between then and now and will most likely end up with a match. You could always split the stay if your first few nights don't come through.

Not very good. There were already waitlists for some of those days before the 7 month window even opened.

Thanksgiving through New Year's Day is a very difficult time to book DVC accomodations at the smaller DVC resorts. Most who are successful book day by day.

Hope you have good luck with the waitlist, but if you don't already have a back up reservation somewhere, my advice is to make one.

Funny thing about reading all these waitlists posts - I have a BWV ressie for a studio for the first two nights of the F&W festival and I don't even want it.

We originally rented enough points for a 2 BR at VWL and then had to scale back (DS and wife unable to go) to a 1 BR at VWL and had points left and ended up with our last 2 nights at BWV. I am still so not looking forward to BWV those two nights. I think I would just be happy with the 5 at VWL and then come home! 5 nights is our usual Orlando vacation and I just cannot imagine 7!!!! In fact BWV is the last place I would have booked. I'm trying to look at it positively. Reading these waitlists posts may help.

Thanks for the positive thoughts. Hopefully I'll get a call within a couple of weeks.

I was going to book in at OKW which is my home resort but I'm 6 points shy of what I need and hopefully someone one the rent/trade board will come through with those.

We have been going the same time for the last 5 years and have never had any issues. This year we're having problems with accomadations and the airfare prices just are NOT coming down.

Well, we're off to Vegas in the morning so maybe our good luck will come there!

I got my waitlist last year for 1/1/06-1/06/06. That was a pretty busy time too. You might get lucky. I'm hoping too as well 12/10-12/17. I can't waitlist until next week and I am already in a panic. I know for sure BWV is totally unavailable but BCV had a all nights but the first available. I know by next week they will be gone though. I will try anyway. I still have my 7 nights at OKW though. At least we will have a very nice roof over our head!

Good luck and don't give up. My waitlists came thorugh at under 30 days so don't give up!

here is some pixie dust for you!!! We are wait listing for VWL 2 bedroom for Nov 25 - Dec 2!!!! If not we will be in a 2 bedroom at OKW. As long as I'm in Disney, I really don't care!!!! Best of luck!
