OK...we are huge BWV fans although we own at SSR. We also love F&W Festival at Epcot so this year we wanted to attempt a reservation at BWV even though we had to wait for the 7 month window. After an "issue" with scheduling, we ended up having to move the trip up by 2 weeks. Great in that we leave sooner, but I did not call right away on the 7 month window.
We are going for 6 nights. DH and I are taking our DD (age 2) and my parents so we definitely need the 2BR. We did get the first 3 nights at BWV (could have gotten the last night, too) so we booked those and then the next three at VWL. I also added us to the waitlist so we don't have to change resorts mid-trip.
My sister-in-law calls me Patty Packer so that gives you some idea of how I feel about moving mid-trip, however, I am trying to look at this on the bright side and liking the idea of seeing 2 resorts. Not sure how that's working...but I'm also a tad concerned about DD getting acclimated to BWV just in time to move someplace else.
All that said, (1) do I have much of a chance of the waitlist coming through? and (2) how big of an inconvenience will it be to move mid trip?
