BWV vs. BCV availability at 11 months

I'm about to purchase some points at one of the Epcot resorts, mostly for use during F&W. Is there any apprecaible difference in booking availability at 11 mos between BWV and BCV? I know it has to be your "home resort" to book at 11 mos. What I'm wondering is if it is any more difficult to get the room you want at one versus the other. I realize the standard rooms at BWV book quickly. I also think BWV is bigger, but I assume it has more owners as well... Any other considerations? We will usually be booking studios, but 2BR will also occur somewhat often.

Right now we're leaning to BWV since we like the bars/restaurants on the BW, but SAB is very nice and I know we would be happy at either. The money difference between them isn't a huge issue. So what are your thoughts?

Not sure about at the 11 month window, but we have never been able to book a standard room of any size at at BWV at the 7 month window, but have been able to book at BCV. We really want to try BWV however, so maybe we will just go for the deluxe or boardwark view next time. I honestly don't think you could go wrong with either. They are both beautiful resorts. Good luck choosing.

Both standard and BW view rooms during F & W will be tough to get at 7 months, especially studios and 2 bedrooms. BCV is such a small resort that 7 month bookings at that time will be tough as well. Maybe this will come down to which resort has the best resale contract available, since you make good cases for both. Good luck on your decision!

Since a 2 bedroom will sometimes be your choice, be aware that all of BWV's 2 bedrooms are lock offs, and do not have 2 Q's in the second bedroom. BCV has a few dedicated 2 bedrooms with 2 Q's in the second bedroom. For F&W time, I imagine that you'll have to have the 11 month booking advantage to get one of those at that time.

You will not regret booking the boardwalk view, if you can get it. IMHO the best views in Disney.

Since the walk from BCV to BWV is really short getting to the BW restaurants is a snap. However SAB as you mentioned is only available if staying at BCV. Just my opinion, but since we just bought into BCV I'm probably a little biased;)

Maybe I should buy two smaller contracts (one at each), and plan on using one every other year for F&W....

I'd say that was a smarter way to go. You'd get the best of both worlds by splitting your contracts and doing an EOY visit strategy.

As for me, I'd take BWV over BCV but then I have no use for SAB and find the views at BWV better. If you think SAB is something you will get enjoyment from, owning there behooves you.

BW view and Standard View at BWV plus the 2 queen two BR dedicated units at BCV will be the most difficult to book. Overall they are likely to be about the same difficulty. BWV will be "cheaper" due to the SV units. Getting points at both would be a good idea if you could swing it.

IMO.. I would buy the BW. It has GV's that BC doesn't have and the standard views can save some points!! :thumbsup2

If you can buy both, that's what I would do (and I did do ;) ). But if you can only choose one, I would go with BWV. This is for the standard and boardwalk views as mentioned. Good luck and let us know what you decide!
