BWV views?

Hi all! I just booked a studio for May 16-21 at BWV. I was surprised that anything was available because of the proximity to Mother's day and with the flower and garden festival going on! Anyhow, I ended up with a "preferred" view, which I am guessing encompasses most of the rooms at this resort. Can anyone tell me what I am likely to end up looking at? (First time at this resort....can you tell? :) )

Thanks,

Shan

Hi Shan, Can't answer that but DH and I will be there from the 13th-21st. I reserved a BWV studio at the 7 month window. My understanding is that 20% of the rooms are boardwalk view, 20% standard view and the rest preferred view. Probably pool or garden but I'm sure a BW expert will chime in!

We've only stayed at BWV once. We reserved a preferred view and we ended up with a BW view. I don't know if this is usually the case or if we just got lucky.

Unless your confirmation letter says Boardwalk View on it, you have a PV - Pool/Garden. You may overlook one of the pools, the new croquet lawn, the canal that ends up at MGM and/or the Swan/Dolphin resorts.

Best wishes -

probably the main swimming pool...I learned to hate that clown....

I would call and request anything but that main pool.....

:rotfl: LOL...I hope I won't have nightmares. Anyone remember Pennyworth the clown from Stephen King's IT? :scared1:

We have a boardwalk view June 3-10th for a studio room. Is there anyway to request a certain floor or room to get the best view of the fireworks? Any suggestions! I know that I should just be happy with the boardwalk view but it would be nice to see the fireworks at night, if we are not in the park at that time.

High floors and farthest from the elevator are the best fireworks views. But do remember its a request and not guarenteed. I'm 0 for 2 on getting my high floor request granted. Most of the Illuminations fireworks are close to the lake now, and only the high ones can be seen from BW at all.

(Low floors closer to the elevators are better for Luna Park access. As Mick Jagger says ... you can't always get what you want, but sometimes you get what you need. With kids, the 15 minutes of fireworks at 9:00 at night may be worth less than being close to the pool slide. However, with the BW views, you'll be at least a staircase away.)

Thanks for the advice! I think we are just going to stick with the plans that we have and just wait until we get there to have the room assigned to us. We have twin girls and they are 7 so I am sure it would be helpful to be near the elevator. Thanks!

We had preffered and it was located right by the lobby. We had a verandah view of the stairs going down to the boardwalk and the grassy area when you get down there.
