I didn't know that BWV had 2-story GV's until I started researching on YouTube. I still haven't found pix, just references to them. Anyone stayed in one?

According to an old room chart I have, the two story grand villas (2 of them side by side) start on the 5th floor above the store in the section closest to Big River Grille. The second story is actually a sixth floor, but I don’t think there’s an elevator. I did get a peek inside one when the cleaning staff had the doors propped open. Good lord, what a big mess someone left. I did see a nice looking staircase going up to the second level. Room location is 5037 and 5038. Two single level GV,s are on the two floors below. 3 more single levels are on floors 3, 4 and 5 right above the doors to Screen Door.

Unfortunately, yes, we had one in January 2014. We had a 5 year old, so I was nervous about her running up and down stairs, but she did fine. There are two bedrooms upstairs, and the one overlooking the stairs had no curtains (not even curtain rods, nor scars on the wall where rods had once been) on the tall window that faced the stairs, but since the 5 year old and her dad, who shared that room, were accustomed to waking up at first light anyway, it worked out okay. The view from the balcony was wonderful, and we had plenty of room for our family to gather. We had 12 people registered to the room (for purposes of parking cars and making FPs), but thankfully my dad, sister and BIL actually slept in an offsite timeshare, so we didn't have anyone sleeping on the fold out couch or sharing a bedroom with someone they didn't ordinarily live with.

Thanks for the information. I really like the laundry (which I read about elsewhere) being by the master bedroom (and not stackable), so I think I'll request the one-story.

BWV has four single story and two 2-story GVs. All in the same area above the main store. I have stayed in both. Prefer the single-story.

The single-story has the larger combined living room, dining room, kitchen area. It also has a large laundry room near the master bath and bedroom. The second and third bedroom are on the other end of the unit.

The two-story has the stairway quickly after you enter the room and the first upstairs bedroom has a little balcony that sits over the entryway area overlooking the stairway and part of the living room. There is no laundry room to speak of. Instead, a stacked w/d sits in a small closet at the end of the upstairs walk-way next the third bedroom, where children are likely to be the occupants.. Thus, the people who usually do laundry (those staying in the master bedroom) have to walk upstairs and down the long hallway to that closet to do laundry. Moreover, the machines are loud, with the result that doing laundry at night means waking up the kids sleeping in that third bedroom.
