When staying at BWV, do you walk to Epcot and the take the monorail to MK or wait for the bus? Are the MK busses pretty timely at BWV or can you end up waiting a while? How about wait time for the monorail at Epcot?

We also have a PPO ADR for BOG Tuesday. I'm thinking of using Uber instead of relying on the busses. Has anyone done this? We would want to be at MK at 7:45. What do you think would work best? Estimated cost of an uber?

Thanks for any thoughts!

if you want to take the monorail - you better have at least park hopper - because you would be going into 2 different parks. It is not the wait time at Epcot on the monorail - it is the time the walk will take - this is a pretty one walk.

the MK buses also stopped at Dolphin and Swan before going to the MK.

think the breakfast buses (okay not the right word) start at 6:30am.

Thank you. Yes we have hoppers. Anyone have any advice or personal experiences?

Didn't know the bus stopped at S/D also. Good to know.

When we were at BWV this past August we just got on the bus to MK. It was the easiest way and the buses were pretty regular overall. I think the longest we waited for a bus was like 15 mins to go to Disney Springs. I would not do all that walking. It will just be a waste of time.

Plus you can not enter Epcot to walk to the Monorail until Epcot opens at 9. That puts you way behind any bus. The bus is your best bet.

The monorail question was just in general, not for our PPO. I was wondering about the uber for the PPO.

I had read that someone said they used the monorail exclusively to go to MK when they stayed at the Boardwalk. Just wondering if anyone else does the same and how timely the MK busses are at BWV.

Buses are always a better choice over the Monorail in our experience.
I haven' t used Uber

We've stayed at BWI/BWV and BC/YC a lot and have never used the monorail to get to MK. You would have to walk through WS, all the way through FW, out the main entrance and then up the ramp to the monorail station. Then wait for the monorail and switch monorails at TTC. You are much, much better off waiting for a bus. If you want to take a cab or uber, ask them to drop you off at the security guard kiosk at CR so you can walk to MK. Valet at your resort can also call you a cab.

The only time we have used the monorail between EP/MK when staying at an EP resort is if we are actually park hopping. It is not a good use of time or energy to use the monorail to get to MK otherwise.

When I stayed there last December, they went direct. At least in the mornings.

I'll be arriving Saturday, plan to go to MK on Sunday, I'll post. Going through Epcot is a long walk, then 2 monorails. That would take longer.

Thanks we will be there Sunday too. Arriving at BWV around 10:30am. Looking to get a quick drink and snack before hitting MK for our 12:05-1:05 FP. Not sure if that's doable, but we will give it a try.

As stated already, going through EPCOT to take the monorail to MK is certainly not the best use of time, but we almost always do it because we hate the buses, and DH won't drive to the parks. We are not rope drope people and don't spend a great amount of time in any one park because we go so often. Sometimes we just like to ride the monorail.

Also, as stated above, last time we stayed at BWI (April 2016) we did take an early bus to MK and it did not stop at any other resort.

well you could try my solution - when staying at BWV or BCV - go visit Epcot and Studios

for the MK or Epcot - BLT, VGF or PVB or even VWL.

now for the ak - any will do since nothing connects to it.

I was there over Christmas and if I remember correctly, Boardwalk had it's own bus for MK. I think that went into effect last October.

funny I was there in Sept - it stopped at Dolphin and Swan on the way to the MK. Think it might be the season - going doing a busy season - no stops - going doing a less busy season - you will be stopping.

We've always had good luck with the buses at Boardwalk. We had considered doing what you suggested for a breakfast ADR at Kona Café, but once we were there and remembered how long that walk through EPCOT was we changed our mind. We ended up taking a taxi and were there in no time.

Well you can't walk thru Epcot to get the monorail in time to get to a 7:45 breakfast in the MK simply because Epcot will not be open at that time.

Yes I know that. Just wondering if anyone had taken an uber and what the cost might be.

Thank you - do you remember the cost of the taxi?
