we are staying at bwv. Can I walk through Epcot(early in morning) and hop on the monorail? does anyone know what time it starts to operate?

Or do I have to wait until 11:00 until world showcase opens to get to future world to get to the monorail.

Or.....
should I just bus to MK. I have heard buses aren't the best way to go from their?

Or...

should I boat over to Y&B or Dolphin & take buses from there..

Leaving next week....can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!

will be in US for Halloween and then over to BWV..

BEst part is my kids still don't know. I am planning on slipping a note in their lunches next week.

They will be so elated.

Had to do this because If I told them, schoolwork would never get done

The International Gateway does not open until 9:00am. I would take the bus, BW is the last stop before MK. The only problem would be if the bus is full. You could walk over to the Swan or Dolphin (I can never remember which is closer).

Taking a bus to MK is always the best option in that you won't have to then transfer to a ferry or a monorail.

You can walk through the WS before it officially opens, but I don't think the IG opens much before 9 a.m.

Taking the monorail from EPCOT means you'll need to transfer to another or the ferry to get to MK (or walk from TTC).

There is absolutely no reason to take the ferry to another resort to catch a bus to MK. That would only serve to needlessly lengthen your trip.

minijeanie,
It depends on when you want to arrive at MK. The international gateway opens when epcot opens, then the walk through epcot, monorail to ttc, then to mk....if you want to be at MK early, it's not the best route.
Personally I love the monorail! If you want to be at MK at opening the bus is your best bet.
The same buses ussually run from swan, dolphin, YC, BC and BCV ..... so riding the ferry to get on the bus, will probobly drive you right back to BWV.

During less busy seasons the bus should not be to crowded.

I guess the bus it is!!!!

let me throw one more idea at you...

I will have a car.....normally, I hate driving to MK...find it intolerable to take the tram to the mono & in

but ,,,,,

if I left early enough,,,

would you consider this better than waiting for a bus

I'd definitely do the bus from BWV. We are car people - don't like waiting for the Disney transportation, however, in some cases the transportation is quicker & more efficient than taking a car & this was definitely one of them.

DH & I were just there at the beginning of Oct. We were taking the Keys to the Kingdom Tour & decided that we would just take the bus. When we arrived at the BW bus stop there was a CM there telling everyone how much long of a wait for the next bus & he was right on target. We boarded the bus & went straight to the MK. No additional stops on the way there. On the way back, however, BW was the last stop. If you're not too tired I would recommend getting off at the Swan or Dolphin (whichever is first) & walking back to the BW. Otherwise, just enjoy the ride.

Anyway, after that long explaination, I'd say take the bus from the BW. Trying to take the Monorail would be more hassle & it would take longer in your car by the time you parked, hopped on the tram to the TTC & then took the monorail to MK.
